and by the swelling ocean ,
በተመላው ባሕርም እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

and by the ocean filled with swell ; -
በተመላው ባሕርም እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

ships sailing in the ocean like ensigns are a sign of his .
በባሕር ላይ እንደ ጋራዎች ኾነው ተንሻላዮቹም ( መርከቦች ) ከአስደናቂ ምልክቶቹ ናቸው ፡ ፡

his are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains .
እንደ ጋራዎች ኾነው በባሕር ውስጥ የተሠሩት ተንሻለዮቹም ( ታንኳዎች ) የእርሱ ናቸው ፡ ፡

and the boats ply in the ocean by his command . he holds the sky in position lest it should fall upon the earth save by his dispensation .
አላህ በምድር ውስጥ ያለን ሁሉ ለእናንተ የገራላችሁ ፣ መርከቦችንም በባሕር ውስጥ በፈቃዱ የሚንሻለሉ ሲኾኑ ( የገራላችሁ ) መኾኑን ፣ ሰማይንም በፈቃዱ ካልኾነ በምድር ላይ እንዳትወድቅ የሚይዛት መኾኑን አላየህምን አላህ ለሰዎች በእርግጥ ሩኅሩኅ አዛኝ ነው ፡ ፡

and among his signs are the ships , smooth-running through the ocean , ( tall ) as mountains .
በባሕር ላይ እንደ ጋራዎች ኾነው ተንሻላዮቹም ( መርከቦች ) ከአስደናቂ ምልክቶቹ ናቸው ፡ ፡

or like utter darkness in a vast ocean , covered by waves , above which are waves , above which is fog . darkness upon darkness .
ወይም ( መጥፎ ሥራዎቻቸውን ) ከበላዩ ደመና ያለበት ማዕበል በሚሸፈነው ጥልቅ ባህር ውስጥ እንዳሉ ጨለማዎች ነው ፡ ፡ ( እነዚያ ) ከፊላቸው ከከፊሉ በላይ ድርብርብ የኾኑ ጨለማዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡ ( በዚህች ) የተሞከረ ( ሰው ) እጁን ባወጣ ጊዜ ሊያያት አይቀርብም ፡ ፡ አላህም ለእርሱ ብርሃንን ያላደረገለት ሰው ለእርሱ ምንም ብርሃን የለውም ፡ ፡

do you not see that the ships sail in the ocean by the grace of god , that he may show you some of his glories . verily there are signs in this for those who are constant and give thanks .
ከአስደናቂ ምልክቶቹ ሊያሳያችሁ መርከቦች በአላህ ችሮታ በባህር ውስጥ የሚንሻለሉ መሆናቸውን አታይምን ? በዚህ ውስጥ በጣም ታጋሽ አመስጋኝ ለሆኑ ሁሉ ተዓምራቶች አሉበት ፡ ፡

or like darkness on a deep ocean covered by waves billowing over waves and overcast with clouds : darkness upon darkness . if he stretches out his hand , he can scarcely see it .
ወይም ( መጥፎ ሥራዎቻቸውን ) ከበላዩ ደመና ያለበት ማዕበል በሚሸፈነው ጥልቅ ባህር ውስጥ እንዳሉ ጨለማዎች ነው ፡ ፡ ( እነዚያ ) ከፊላቸው ከከፊሉ በላይ ድርብርብ የኾኑ ጨለማዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡ ( በዚህች ) የተሞከረ ( ሰው ) እጁን ባወጣ ጊዜ ሊያያት አይቀርብም ፡ ፡ አላህም ለእርሱ ብርሃንን ያላደረገለት ሰው ለእርሱ ምንም ብርሃን የለውም ፡ ፡

if all the trees in the earth were pens and the ocean , with seven more oceans , were ink still these could not suffice to record all the words of god . god is majestic and all-wise .
ከዛፍም በምድር ያለው ሁሉ ብእሮች ቢሆኑ ኖሮ ባሕሩም ከእርሱ ( ማለቅ ) በኋላ ሰባት ባህሮች የሚጨመሩለት ሆኖ ( ቀለም ቢሆንና ቢጻፍባቸው ) የአላህ ቃላት ባላለቀች ነበር ፡ ፡ አላህ አሸናፊ ጥበበኛ ነውና ፡ ፡

if it be his will he can still the wind : then would they become motionless on the back of the ( ocean ) . verily in this are signs for everyone who patiently perseveres and is grateful .
ቢሻ ነፋሱን የረጋ ያደርገዋል ፡ ፡ በባሕሩም ጀርባ ላይ ረጊዎች ይኾናሉ ፡ ፡ በዚህ ውሰጥ በጣም ታጋሽና አመስጋኝ ለኾነ ሁሉ በእርግጥ ምልክቶች አልሉ ፡ ፡
