« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ( እንግዲያውስ ) ለእኔ ምልክትን አድርግልኝ አለ ፡ ፡ ምልክትህ ጤናማ ሆነህ ሳለህ ሦስት ሌሊትን ( ከነቀናቸው ) ሰዎችን ለማነጋገር አለመቻልህ ነው » አለው ፡ ፡

he [ salih ] said , " enjoy yourselves in your homes for three more days . this warning will not prove false . "
ወግተው ገደሏትም ፡ ፡ ( ሷሊህ ) « በአገራችሁም ሶስትን ቀናት ( ብቻ ) ተጠቀሙ ፡ ፡ ይህ የማይዋሽ ቀጠሮ ነው » አላቸው ፡ ፡

but they hamstrung her , whereupon he said , ‘ enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days : that is a promise not to be belied ! ’
ወግተው ገደሏትም ፡ ፡ ( ሷሊህ ) « በአገራችሁም ሶስትን ቀናት ( ብቻ ) ተጠቀሙ ፡ ፡ ይህ የማይዋሽ ቀጠሮ ነው » አላቸው ፡ ፡

the angel said : ' the sign for you shall be that you shall not speak to men for three days except by gesture . remember your lord and extol his glory by night and by day . '
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ለእኔ ምልክትን አድርግልኝ » አለ ፡ ፡ « ምልክትህ ሦስት ቀን በጥቅሻ ቢኾን እንጅ ሰዎችን አለማናገርህ ነው ፡ ፡ ጌታህንም በብዙ አውሳ ፡ ፡ በማታና በጧትም አወድሰው » አለው ፡ ፡

and the divorced women shall keep themselves in waiting for three courses nor is it allowed unto them that they should hide that which allah hath created in their wombs , if they believe in allah and the last day . and their husbands are more entitled to their restorations during the same , if they desire rectification .
የተፈቱ ሴቶችም ነፍሶቻቸውን ( ከማግባት ) ሦስትን ቁርእ ይጠብቁ ፡ ፡ በአላህና በመጨረሻውም ቀን የሚያምኑ ቢኾኑ አላህ በማሕፀኖቻቸው ውስጥ የፈጠረውን ሊደብቁ ለነርሱ አይፈቀድላቸውም ፡ ፡ ባሎቻቸውም በዚህ ውስጥ እርቅን ቢፈልጉ በመማለሳቸው ተገቢዎች ናቸው ፡ ፡ ለእነርሱም ( ለሴቶች ) የዚያ በእነርሱ ላይ ያለባቸው ( ግዳጅ ) ብጤ በመልካም አኑዋኑዋር ( በባሎቻቸው ላይ መብት ) አላቸው ፡ ፡ ለወንዶችም ( ጣጣቸውን ስለሚሸከሙ ) በእነሱ ላይ ብልጫ አላቸው ፡ ፡ አላህም አሸናፊ ጥበበኛ ነው ፡ ፡

and they stayed in their cave for three hundred years * and nine more * . ( * 300 according to the solar calendar and 309 according to the lunar calendar . )

[ the angel ] said , " your sign is that you will not be able to speak to people for three days except by signs . remember your lord much and glorify him morning and evening . "
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ለእኔ ምልክትን አድርግልኝ » አለ ፡ ፡ « ምልክትህ ሦስት ቀን በጥቅሻ ቢኾን እንጅ ሰዎችን አለማናገርህ ነው ፡ ፡ ጌታህንም በብዙ አውሳ ፡ ፡ በማታና በጧትም አወድሰው » አለው ፡ ፡

" thy sign , " was the answer , " shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three days but with signals . then celebrate the praises of thy lord again and again , and glorify him in the evening and in the morning . "
