ወይስ ትናንትና የግብፁን ሰው እንደ ገደልኸው ልትገድለኝ ትወዳለህን? ብሎ ገፋው።

« ለእነርሱም በእኔ ላይ ( የደም ) ወንጀል አልለ ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ እንዳይገድሉኝ እፈራለሁ ፡ ፡ »

( ሙሳ ) አለ « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! እኔ ከእነርሱ ነፍስን ገድያለሁ ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ እንዳይገድሉኝ እፈራለሁ ፡ ፡

« ለእነርሱም በእኔ ላይ ( የደም ) ወንጀል አልለ ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ እንዳይገድሉኝ እፈራለሁ ፡ ፡ »

" and they have a charge of crime against me , and i fear they will kill me . "
« ለእነርሱም በእኔ ላይ ( የደም ) ወንጀል አልለ ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ እንዳይገድሉኝ እፈራለሁ ፡ ፡ »

even if you try to kill me , i certainly shall not try to kill you . i have fear of god , the lord of the creation .
« ልትገድለኝ እጅህን ወደኔ ብትዘረጋ እኔ ልገድልህ እጄን ወዳንተ የምዘረጋ አይደለሁም ፡ ፡ እኔ የዓለማትን ጌታ አላህን እፈራለሁና » አለ ፡ ፡

and they have upon me a [ claim due to ] sin , so i fear that they will kill me . "
« ለእነርሱም በእኔ ላይ ( የደም ) ወንጀል አልለ ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ እንዳይገድሉኝ እፈራለሁ ፡ ፡ »

but if you do not bring him to me , then there will be no rations for you with me , and don t [ ’ ever ] come near me . ’
እርሱንም ባታመጡልኝ እኔ ዘንድ ለእናንተ ስፍር የላችሁም ፤ አትቀርቡኝምም ፡ ፡ »

even if you extend your hand toward me to kill me , i will not extend my hand toward you to kill you . indeed , i fear allah , the lord of all the worlds .
« ልትገድለኝ እጅህን ወደኔ ብትዘረጋ እኔ ልገድልህ እጄን ወዳንተ የምዘረጋ አይደለሁም ፡ ፡ እኔ የዓለማትን ጌታ አላህን እፈራለሁና » አለ ፡ ፡

( moses ) said , " lord , i have killed a man from their people and i am afraid that they will kill me .
( ሙሳ ) አለ « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! እኔ ከእነርሱ ነፍስን ገድያለሁ ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ እንዳይገድሉኝ እፈራለሁ ፡ ፡

" and truly , i seek refuge in my lord and your lord , lest you stone me ( or call me a sorcerer or kill me ) .
« እኔም እንዳትወግሩኝ በጌታየና በጌታችሁ ተጠብቂያለሁ ፡ ፡

and when he would have fallen upon the man who was an enemy unto them both , he said : o moses ! wouldst thou kill me as thou didst kill a person yesterday .
( ሙሳ ) ያንን እርሱ ለሁለቱም ጠላት የሆነውን ሰው በኃይል ሊይዘው በፈለገም ጊዜ « ሙሳ ሆይ ! በትላንትናው ቀን ነፍስን እንደ ገደልክ ልትገድለኝ ትፈልጋለህን በምድር ለይ ጨካኝ መሆንን እንጅ ሌላ አትፈልግም ፡ ፡ ከመልካም ሠሪዎችም መሆንን አትፈልግም » አለው ፡ ፡

he threw down the tablets and seized his brother by the head , pulling him towards himself . he said , ‘ son of my mother , indeed this people thought me to be weak , and they were about to kill me .
ሙሳም እየተቆጣና እያዘነ ወደ ሕዝቦቹ በተመለሰ ጊዜ « ከእኔ በኋላ በእኔ ላይ የተካችሁት ነገር ከፋ ! የጌታችሁን ትእዛዝ ተቻኮላችሁን » አላቸው ፡ ፡ ሰሌዳዎቹንም ጣላቸው ፡ ፡ የወንድሙንም ራስ ( ጸጉር ) ወደርሱ የሚጎትተው ሲኾን ያዘ ፡ ፡ ( ወንድሙም ) ፡ - « የናቴ ልጅ ሆይ ! ሕዝቦቹ ናቁኝ ፡ ፡ ሊገድሉኝም ተቃራቡ ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ በእኔ ጠላቶችን አታስደስትብኝ ፡ ፡ ከአመጸኞች ሕዝቦችም ጋር አታድርገኝ » አለው ፡ ፡

" if you do stretch your hand against me to kill me , i shall never stretch my hand against you to kill you , for i fear allah ; the lord of the ' alamin ( mankind , jinns , and all that exists ) . "
« ልትገድለኝ እጅህን ወደኔ ብትዘረጋ እኔ ልገድልህ እጄን ወዳንተ የምዘረጋ አይደለሁም ፡ ፡ እኔ የዓለማትን ጌታ አላህን እፈራለሁና » አለ ፡ ፡
