የከተማይቱም ሰዎች የሚበሳሰሩ ኾነው መጡ ፡ ፡

ከእርሱም የሸሹ ሆነው ኼዱ ፡ ፡

and the people of abraham , lot ,
የኢብራሂምም ሕዝቦች የሉጥም ሕዝቦች ( አስተባብለዋል ) ፡ ፡

except the people of the right hand
የቀኝ ባለቤቶች ብቻ ሲቀሩ ፡ ፡

and it was said unto the people : are ye going to assemble .
ለሰዎቹም « እናንተ ተሰብስባችኋልን » ተባለ ፡ ፡

accursed be the people of the ditch !
የጉድቡ ባለቤቶች ተረገሙ ፡ ፡

and gathered [ the people ] and proclaimed ,
( ሰራዊቶቹን ) ሰበሰበም ፤ ተጣራም ፡ ፡

and the people of abraham and the people of lot
የኢብራሂምም ሕዝቦች የሉጥም ሕዝቦች ( አስተባብለዋል ) ፡ ፡

[ the people of ] thamud impugned the apostles
ሰሙድ መልክተኞችን አስተባበለች ፡ ፡

[ the people of ] thamud denied the warnings ,
ሰሙድ በአስፈራሪዎቹ አስተባበለች ፡ ፡

[ the people of ] ‘ ad impugned the apostles ,
ዓድ መልክተኞችን አስተባበለች ፡ ፡

verily , these ( quraish ) people are saying :
እነዚህ ( የመካ ከሓዲዎች ) በእርግጥ ይላሉ ፡ -

and it was said to the people : " are you ( too ) going to assemble ?
ለሰዎቹም « እናንተ ተሰብስባችኋልን » ተባለ ፡ ፡

they said , “ shall we believe in you , whereas the abject people are with you ? ”
( እነርሱም ) « ወራዶቹ የተከተሉህ ኾነህ ለአንተ እናምናለን » አሉት ፡ ፡

among the people are those who dispute about allah without any knowledge , and follow every froward devil ,
ከሰዎቹም ያለ ዕውቀት በአላህ ነገር የሚከራከር ፤ ሞገደኛ ሰይጣንንም ሁሉ የሚከተል ሰው አልለ ፡ ፡

and when the people are gathered [ that day ] , they [ who were invoked ] will be enemies to them , and they will be deniers of their worship .
ሰዎችም በተሰበሰቡ ጊዜ ( ጣዖቶቹ ) ለእነርሱ ጠላቶች ይኾናሉ ፡ ፡ ( እነሱን ) መገዛታቸውንም ከሓዲዎች ይኾናሉ ፡ ፡

and if they saw them , they would say , “ these people are lost . ”
ባዩዋቸውም ጊዜ « እነዚህ በእርግጥ ተሳሳቾች ናቸው » ይሉ ነበር ፡ ፡

and of the people are some who say , " we believe in allah and the last day , " but they are not believers .
ከሰዎችም « በአላህና በመጨረሻው ቀን አምነናል » የሚሉ አልሉ ፤ እነርሱም አማኞች አይደሉም ፡ ፡

among the people are those who say , ‘ we have faith in allah and the last day , ’ but they have no faith .
ከሰዎችም « በአላህና በመጨረሻው ቀን አምነናል » የሚሉ አልሉ ፤ እነርሱም አማኞች አይደሉም ፡ ፡
