« በእርግጥ አንተ ከሚያምኑት ነህን ? የሚል ፡ ፡

surely you have in the day time a long occupation .
ላንተ በቀን ውስጥ ረዥም መዘዋወር አልለህ ፡ ፡

the future depends on what we do in the present

ወይም የረኃብ ባለቤት በኾነ ቀን ማብላት ፡ ፡

surely in the day thou hast long business .
ላንተ በቀን ውስጥ ረዥም መዘዋወር አልለህ ፡ ፡

and you ride on them as you do in ships .
በእርሷም ላይ በመርከብም ላይ ትጫናላችሁ ፡ ፡

after ( knowing ) this , what makes you still disbelieve in the day of judgment ?
ታዲያ ከዚህ በኋላ በፍርዱ ምን አስተባባይ አደረገህ ?

those who firmly believe in the day of recompense ,
እነዚያም በፍርዱ ቀን እውነት የሚሉት ( የሚያረጋግጡት ) ፡ ፡

and in the day when the hour riseth the unrighteous will despair .
ሰዓቲቱም በምትቆምበት ቀን አመጸኞች ጭጭ ይላሉ ፡ ፡

in the day when the hour cometh , in that day they will be sundered .
ሰዓቲቱ በምትቆምበት ቀንም በዚያ ቀን ይለያያሉ ፡ ፡

on the day when he will call to them , and say , “ what did you answer the messengers ? ”
« የሚጠራባቸውንና ለመልክተኞቹም ምንን መለሳችሁ » የሚልበትን ቀን ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

" did you do this to our gods , o abraham ? " they enquired .
« ኢብራሂም ሆይ ! በአማልክቶቻችን ይህንን የሠራህ አንተ ነህን » አሉት ፡ ፡

great is hatred in the sight of allah that you say what you do not do .
የማትሠሩን ነገር መናገራችሁ አላህ ዘንድ መጠላቱ ተለቀ ፡ ፡

" what is the matter with you ? why do you not help one another ( as you used to do in the world ) ? "
( ለእነርሱም ) « የማትረዳዱት ለእናንተ ምን አላችሁ ? ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

[ they will be told ] , " eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past . "
በአለፉት ቀናት ውስጥ ( በምድረ ዓለም ) ባስቀደማችሁት ምክንያት ብሉ ፤ ጠጡም ፤ ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

and on the day when he will call to them and proclaim , “ what answer did you give to the noble messengers ? ”
« የሚጠራባቸውንና ለመልክተኞቹም ምንን መለሳችሁ » የሚልበትን ቀን ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

his is whatsoever dwelleth in the night and the day ; and he is the hearer , the knower .
በሌሊትና በቀንም ጸጥ ያለው ሁሉ የርሱ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ እርሱም ሰሚው ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡ »

' eat and drink with wholesome appetite for that you did long ago , in the days gone by . '
