Իսկ ես, որ ճշմարտութիւնն եմ ասում, ինձ չէք հաւատում:

i tell you, nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Ո՛չ, ասում եմ ձեզ, սակայն եթէ չապաշխարէք, ամէնքդ էլ նոյնպէս պիտի կորչէք»:

art thou the christ? tell us. and he said unto them, if i tell you, ye will not believe:
Նրանց ասաց. «Եթէ ձեզ ասեմ իսկ, չէք հաւատայ:

now i tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that i am he.
հէնց այժմուանից ասում եմ ձեզ, քանի դեռ չի եղել, որպէսզի, երբ որ լինի, հաւատաք, որ ես եմ:

suppose ye that i am come to give peace on earth? i tell you, nay; but rather division:
Կարծում էք, թէ երկրին խաղաղութի՞ւն տալու եկայ. ո՛չ, ասում եմ ձեզ, այլ՝ բաժանում.

i tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.
Ասում եմ քեզ, այնտեղից դուրս չես գայ, մինչեւ որ չվճարես վերջին գրոշը»:

i tell you that he will avenge them speedily. nevertheless when the son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Այո՛, ասում եմ ձեզ, նրանց իսկոյն արդարութիւն կ՚անի. իսկ երբ մարդու Որդին գայ, արդեօք երկրի վրայ հաւատ կը գտնի՞»:

and jesus answered and said unto them, i also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, i in like wise will tell you by what authority i do these things.
Յիսուս պատասխանեց եւ ասաց նրանց. «Ես էլ ձեզ մի բան հարցնեմ. եթէ ինձ ասէք, ես էլ ձե՛զ կ՚ասեմ, թէ ինչ իշխանութեամբ եմ այս անում:

and they answered and said unto jesus, we cannot tell. and jesus answering saith unto them, neither do i tell you by what authority i do these things.
Պատասխան տուեցին եւ Յիսուսին ասացին՝ չգիտենք. եւ Յիսուս նրանց պատասխանեց ու ասաց. «Ես էլ ձե՛զ չեմ ասի, թէ ինչ իշխանութեամբ եմ այս անում»:

and he said, i tell thee, peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.
Եւ նա նրան ասաց. «Ասում եմ քեզ, Պետրո՛ս, այսօր դեռ աքաղաղը կանչած չպիտի լինի, մինչեւ որ դու երեք անգամ ուրանաս՝ ասելով, թէ ինձ չես ճանաչում»:

but i tell you of a truth, many widows were in israel in the days of elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;
Արդարեւ, ասում եմ ձեզ, որ Եղիայի օրով Իսրայէլում բազում այրիներ կային, երբ երկինքը փակուեց երեք տարի ու վեց ամիս, եւ ամբողջ երկրի վրայ մեծ սով եղաւ:

for i tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Ասում եմ ձեզ, որ բազում մարգարէներ եւ թագաւորներ կամեցան տեսնել այն, ինչ դուք տեսնում էք, բայց չտեսան, եւ լսել՝ ինչ դուք լսում էք, բայց չլսեցին»:
