သို့သော်လည်းသင်တို့သည် ငါ့ကိုမြင်လျက်ပင် မယုံကြည်ကြဟု ငါဆိုခဲ့ပြီ။

but i trusted in thee, o lord: i said, thou art my god.
သို့သော်လည်း ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ကိုယ်တော်ကို အကျွန်ုပ်ကိုးစားပါ၏။ ကိုယ်တော်သည် အကျွန်ုပ်၏ ဘုရားသခင်ဖြစ်တော်မူသည်ဟု အကျွန်ုပ် လျှောက်ဆို ပါ၏။

but i trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.
ငါတို့သည် အစစ်ခံနိုင်သောသူဖြစ်သည်ကို သင်တို့သိကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု ငါထင်မှတ်မြော်လင့်ခြင်းရှိ၏။

but i am saddened that i have become a victim twice over.
ပထမအကြိမ်က ကျွန်ုပ် မိခင်အား ဆုံးရှုံရသည့်အချိန်၊

အကျွန်ုပ်မူကား၊ လူမဟုတ်၊ ပိုးကောင်မျှသာ ဖြစ်ပါ၏။ လူများ ကဲ့ရဲ့စရာ၊ လူစုအရှက်ခွဲစရာဘို့ ဖြစ်ပါ၏။

but i say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for tyre and sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.
ငါဆိုသည်ကား၊ တရားဆုံးဖြတ်သောနေ့၌ သင်တို့သည် တုရုမြို့နှင့်ဇိဒုန်မြို့ထက်သာ၍ ခံရကြလတံ့။

and i heard, but i understood not: then said i, o my lord, what shall be the end of these things?
ထိုစကားကို ငါကြား၍ နားမလည်သောကြောင့်၊ သခင်ဘုရား၊ ဤအမူအရာတို့သည် အဘယ်သို့ ကုန်စင် ပါမည်နည်းဟု မေးလျှောက်လျှင်၊

but i would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
ညီအစ်ကိုတို့၊ ငါ၌ရောက်သော အမှုအရာတို့သည် ဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို မမြစ်တားသည်သာမက၊ ပြုစု ရာဖြစ်သည်ဟု သင်တို့ သိစေခြင်းငှါ ငါအလိုရှိ၏။

but i am like a green olive tree in the house of god: i trust in the mercy of god for ever and ever.
ငါမူကား၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏အိမ်တော်၌ စိမ်းလန်း သောသံလွင်ပင်ကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ ကရုဏာ တော်၌ ကာလအစဉ်အမြဲကိုးစားမည်။

all things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but i will not be brought under the power of any.
ငါသည် အပြစ်မသင့်ဘဲလျက်ခပ်သိမ်းသော အမှုအရာကို ပြုနိုင်သည် မှန်စေတော့။ ခပ်သိမ်းသော အမှုအရာကို ပြုသင့်သည်မဟုတ်။ အပြစ်မသင့်ဘဲလျက် ခပ်သိမ်းသော အမှုအရာကိုပြုနိုင်သည်မှန်စေတော့။ အဘယ်အမှုအရာ၌မျှ ငါသည်ကျွန်မခံ။
