but if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. if therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
မျက်စိမြှေးရှက်လျှင် တကိုယ်လုံးမိုက်လိမ့်မည်။ သင်၏ အလင်းသော်ကား၊ မှောင်မိုက်ဖြစ်လျှင် ထို အမိုက်သည် အလွန်မိုက်စွတကား။

but ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
သင်တို့မူကား၊ မှောင်မိုက်ထဲမှ အံ့ဘွယ်သော အလင်းတော်သို့ ခေါ်သွင်းတော်မူသော သူ၏ဂုဏ် ကျေးဇူးများကို ဘော်ပြစေခြင်းငှါ၊ ရွေးချယ်တော်မူသော အမျိုးဖြစ်ကြ၏။ မင်းစည်းစိမ်ရှိသော ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မျိုး၊ သန့်ရှင်းသောလူမျိုး၊ ပိုင်ထိုက်တော်မူသော အပေါင်းအသင်းဖြစ်ကြ၏။

therefore judge nothing before the time, until the lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of god.
ထိုသို့ဖြစ်လျှင်မှောင်မိုက်၌ ဝှက်ထားသော အရာတို့ကို ပွင့်လင်း စေ၍ စိတ်နှလုံးအကြံအစည်များကို ထင်ရှားစေလတံ့သော သခင်ဘုရား ကြွလာတော်မမူမှီ တိုင်အောင် အဘယ်အမှုကိုမျှ အဆုံးအဖြတ် မစီရင် ကြနှင့်။ ကြွလာတော်မူသောအခါ၊ အသီးသီးတို့သည် ဘုရားသခင်ချီးမွမ်းတော်မူခြင်းကျေးဇူးကို ခံရကြလတံ့။

o generation, see ye the word of the lord. have i been a wilderness unto israel? a land of darkness? wherefore say my people, we are lords; we will come no more unto thee?
ယခုဖြစ်သော အမျိုးသားတို့၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ အမိန့်တော်ကို ဆင်ခြင်ကြလော့။ ငါသည် ဣသရေလ အမျိုး၌ တောကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ မှောင်မိုက်နိုင်ငံကဲ့သို့၎င်း ဖြစ်ဘူး သလော။ ငါ၏လူတို့က၊ ငါတို့သည် အရပ်ရပ်သို့ လည် မည်။ ကိုယ်တော်ထံသို့ နောက်တဖန်မချဉ်းကပ်ဟု အဘယ်ကြောင့် ဆိုကြသနည်း။

a day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
