बिना शर्त समर्पित होना या किसी सहधर्मी या अन्य कोई असीम सत्ता की सहायता पर खुले रूप में विश्वास करना , एक मुनष्य के लिये अपनी गरिमा खोना है जो इस्लामी शरियों में सबसक बड़ा पाप है ।

and indeed we sent to the thamud , their fellowman saleh that , “ worship allah” , thereupon they became two parties quarrelling .
और अब मैं सुलेमान के साथ सारे जहाँ के पालने वाले खुदा पर ईमान लाती हूँ और हम ही ने क़ौम समूद के पास उनके भाई सालेह को पैग़म्बर बनाकर भेजा कि तुम लोग ख़ुदा की इबादत करो तो वह सालेह के आते ही दो फरीक़ बनकर बाहम झगड़ने लगे

and remember the fellowman of the tribe of a’ad ; when he warned his nation in the ahqaf * – and indeed heralds of warning passed away before and after him – that , “ do not worship anyone except allah ; indeed i fear the punishment of a great day upon you .
और तुम आद को भाई को याद करो जब उन्होंने अपनी क़ौम को अहक़ाफ में डराया और उनके पहले और उनके बाद भी बहुत से डराने वाले पैग़म्बर गुज़र चुके थे कि ख़ुदा के सिवा किसी की इबादत न करो क्योंकि तुम्हारे बारे में एक बड़े सख्त दिन के अज़ाब से डरता हूँ
