for i lift up my hand to heaven, and say, i live for ever.
내 가 하 늘 을 향 하 여 내 손 을 들 고 말 하 노 라 나 의 영 원 히 삶 을 두 고 맹 세 하 노

i convey to you the messages of my lord, and i give you sincere advice.
내가 너희에게 주님의 말씀 을 전하고 내가 너희에게 진실로 충고함이라

“if you extend your hand to kill me, i will not extend my hand to kill you; for i fear god, lord of the worlds.”
네가 나에 대항하여 나를 살해하려 손을 뻗친다 해도 나는 너에 대항하여 너를 살해하기 위해 나의 손은 내밀지 아니하리라 이 는 내가 만유의 주이신 하나님을 두려워 하기 때문이라

and i give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
내 가 저 희 에 게 영 생 을 주 노 니 영 원 히 멸 망 치 아 니 할 터 이 요 또 저 희 를 내 손 에 서 빼 앗 을 자 가 없 느 니

even if you stretch forth your hand against me to kill, i will not stretch forth my hand to kill you. surely, i fear allah, the lord of the entire universe.
네가 나에 대항하여 나를 살해하려 손을 뻗친다 해도 나는 너에 대항하여 너를 살해하기 위해 나의 손은 내밀지 아니하리라 이 는 내가 만유의 주이신 하나님을 두려워 하기 때문이라

and though i bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though i give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
내 가 내 게 있 는 모 든 것 으 로 구 제 하 고 또 내 몸 을 불 사 르 게 내 어 줄 지 라 도 사 랑 이 없 으 면 내 게 아 무 유 익 이 없 느 니

and herein i give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago.
이 일 에 내 가 뜻 만 보 이 노 니 이 것 은 너 희 에 게 유 익 함 이 라 너 희 가 일 년 전 에 행 하 기 를 먼 저 시 작 할 뿐 아 니 라 원 하 기 도 하 였 은

when ye be come into the land of canaan, which i give to you for a possession, and i put the plague of leprosy in a house of the land of your possession;
내 가 네 게 기 업 으 로 주 는 가 나 안 땅 에 너 희 가 이 른 때 에 내 가 너 희 기 업 의 땅 에 서 어 느 집 에 문 둥 병 색 점 을 발 하 게 하 거

he teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
내 손 을 가 르 쳐 싸 우 게 하 시 니 내 팔 이 놋 활 을 당 기 도

it is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the god of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, take thou heed that thou speak not to jacob either good or bad.
너 를 해 할 만 한 능 력 이 내 손 에 있 으 나 너 희 아 버 지 의 하 나 님 이 어 제 밤 에 내 게 말 씀 하 시 기 를 너 는 삼 가 야 곱 에 게 선 악 간 말 하 지 말 라 하 셨 느 니

he said: can i entrust him to you save as i entrusted his brother to you aforetime? allah is better at guarding, and he is the most merciful of those who show mercy.
아버지가 말씀하시기를 이전에 그의 형제를 너희에게 맡겼던 것과 갖지 아니하게 그를 맡길 수있느뇨 그러나 하나님은 가장 훌 륭한 보호자이시니 그분은 은혜가있는 자에게 은혜를 베푸시니라

blessed be the lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
( 다 윗 의 시 ) 나 의 반 석 여 호 와 를 찬 송 하 리 로 다 저 가 내 손 을 가 르 쳐 싸 우 게 하 시 며 손 가 락 을 가 르 쳐 치 게 하 시 도

the lord render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness: for the lord delivered thee into my hand to day, but i would not stretch forth mine hand against the lord's anointed.
여 호 와 께 서 각 사 람 에 게 그 의 와 신 실 을 갚 으 시 리 니 이 는 여 호 와 께 서 오 늘 날 왕 을 내 손 에 붙 이 셨 으 되 나 는 손 을 들 어 여 호 와 의 기 름 부 음 을 받 은 자 치 기 를 원 치 아 니 하 였 음 이 니 이

said (the lord): "o moses, i raised you above all men by sending my messages and speaking to you; so receive what i give you, and be grateful."
하나님께서 말씀하사 모세 야 내가 너를 선택하여 나의 메시 지와 나의 말씀으로 다른 사람 위 에 두었으니 내가 그대에게 준 것을 가지라 그리고 감사하라

[shu'ayb] said, "o my people! what do you think? if i have clear evidence from my lord, and he has sustained me with fair sustenance from himself [should i not guide you?]. i have no desire to do, out of opposition to you, what i am asking you not to do. i only want to reform you as far as i can. nor can i succeed without god's help. in him i have put my trust and to him i turn.
그가 이르길 백성들이여 나 의 주님으로부터 나에게 예증이 있었고 내게 좋은 양식을 주셨노 라 내가 너희에게 금기한 것을 내가 위반하지 아니하며 나의 능 력을 다하여 너희를 참되게 하고 싶을 뿐이라 그러나 나의 성공은 하나님께 달려있나니 나는 그분께위탁하고 그분께로 귀의 함이라
