they shall say while they contend therein:
그들은 그 안에서 서로 싸우 면서 말하나니

i have no knowledge of the supernal elite when they contend.

사람들 중에는 무지하여 하나님에 관하여 논쟁하며 반역하는 사탄을 따르고 있느뇨

he saith: contend not in my presence, when i had already proffered unto you the warning.
하나님이 말씀하사 내 앞에 서 서로가 논쟁하지 말라 이미 내가 너희에게 경고했노라

and contend thou not for those who defraud their souls verily allah loveth not one who is a defrauder, sinner.
스스로를 기만하는 자들과 논쟁하지 말라 실로 하나님은 기 만하는 죄인들을 사랑하지 아니 하시니라

hear ye now what the lord saith; arise, contend thou before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.
너 희 는 여 호 와 의 말 씀 을 들 을 지 어 다 내 게 이 르 시 기 를 너 는 일 어 나 서 산 앞 에 서 쟁 변 하 여 작 은 산 으 로 네 목 소 리 를 듣 게 하 라 하 셨 나

contend not on behalf of such as betray their own souls; for allah loveth not one given to perfidy and crime:
스스로를 기만하는 자들과 논쟁하지 말라 실로 하나님은 기 만하는 죄인들을 사랑하지 아니 하시니라

as for those who contend with our signs seeking to frustrate [their purpose], they will be brought to the punishment.
그러나 하나님의 말씀을 거 역하려하는 그들은 형벌 속으로 불리워 가리라

but as for those who contend with our signs, seeking to frustrate [their purpose], they shall be the inmates of hell.
그러나 하나님의 계시를 좌 절코자 하는 그들은 불지옥의 동 반자들이 되리라

these two contending groups contend concerning their lord. as for those who are faithless, cloaks of fire will be cut out for them, and boiling water will be poured over their heads,
주님에 대하여 논쟁을 하는 두 무리가 있나니 불신하는 자들 은 불길에 옷이 찢기며 머리 위에 는 이글대는 물이 부어지리라

and those who contend respecting the religion of allah after it hath been acknowledged, their contention is void in the sight of their lord, and upon them shall befall wrath, and theirs shall be a severe torment.
그러나 하나님께 순종하겠다고 한 후 그분에 관한 그들의 논 쟁은 그들 주님앞에서 무익한 것 으로 그분의 노하심이 있을 것이 요 무서운 벌이 있을 것이라

lo! it is ye who have contended for them in the life of the world; then who will contend for them with allah on the day of resurrection, or who shall be their champion?
보라 현세에서는 그들을 옹호하려는 자가 있으리라 그러나 심판의 날 그들을 위해 누가 하나 님께 옹호할 수 있겠느뇨 아니면 누가 그들을 위해 대변하겠느뇨

ah! these are the sort of men on whose behalf ye may contend in this world; but who will contend with allah on their behalf on the day of judgment, or who will carry their affairs through?
보라 현세에서는 그들을 옹호하려는 자가 있으리라 그러나 심판의 날 그들을 위해 누가 하나 님께 옹호할 수 있겠느뇨 아니면 누가 그들을 위해 대변하겠느뇨

(some) say: (they are) three, the fourth of them being their dog; and (others) say: five, the sixth of them being their dog, making conjectures at what is unknown; and (others yet) say: seven, and the eighth of them is their dog. say: my lord best knows their number, none knows them but a few; therefore contend not in the matter of them but with an outward contention, and do not question concerning them any of them.
어떤 무리가 말하더라 그들 은 셋인데 네번째가 그들의 개이 라 다른 무리가 말하길 다섯인데 여섯번째가 그들의 개이라 또 되 는대로 짐작하여 말하길 일곱이며여덟번째가 그들의 개이라 일러가로되 나의 주님만이 그들의 숫자 를 가장 잘 아시나니 소수 외에는잘 알지 못함이라 그러니 분명한 것을 제외하고는 그에 관해 논쟁 하지 말며 그들 중 어느 누구에게도 그것에 관해 묻지 말라
