އެ ރަށަކަށް ކަނޑައެޅި އެނގިގެންވާ މުއްދަތެއްވާ حال ގައި މެނުވީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއްވެސް ރަށެއް ހަލާކެއް ނުކުރައްވަމެވެ.

his command is only when he intends a thing that he says to it, "be," and it is.
އެކަލާނގެ ކަމަކަށް އިރާދަކުރައްވައިފިނަމަ، އެކަލާނގެ أمر ފުޅުވާކަން ކަށަވަރީ އެކަމަކަށް، [ވާށޭ] وحى ކުރެއްވުމެވެ. ދެން އެކަމެއް ވެދެތެވެ.

and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding.
ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނު އެ އަސާ އެއްލެވިއެވެ. ދެން އެހާރުން، ދުވެދުވެއޮތް ހަރުފައަކަށް ވެއްޖެއެވެ.

and we did not wrong them, but it was they who were the wrongdoers.
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަކަށް އަނިޔާއެއް ނުކުރައްވަމެވެ. އެހެނެއްކަމަކު (ފާފަކުރުމުގެ ސަބަބުން) އަނިޔާވެރިންކަމުގައިވީ، ހަމަ އެއުރެންނެވެ.

and we did not show them a sign but it was greater than its like, and we overtook them with chastisement that they may turn.
އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެއްކެވި ކޮންމެ معجزة އެއް، އެފަދަ އަނެއް معجزة އަކަށްވުރެ މާބޮޑުކަމުގައި މެނުވީ ނުދައްކަވަމެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަށް عذاب ދެއްވައި، ހިއްޕެވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އެއުރެން (كافر ކަމުން) رجوع ވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

he said, “but it was this biggest of them that did it. ask them, if they can speak.”
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. އަދި ކިއެއްތަ! އެކަންތައް ކުޅައީ އެ ބުދުތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން މިހިރަބޮޑުބުދެވެ. ފަހެ، އެ ބުދުތައް ވާހަކަ ދައްކާ ކަމުގައިވާނަމަ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެބުދުތަކާ سؤال ކުރާށެވެ!

he cast it down, and behold! it was a snake, moving quickly.
ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނު އެ އަސާ އެއްލެވިއެވެ. ދެން އެހާރުން، ދުވެދުވެއޮތް ހަރުފައަކަށް ވެއްޖެއެވެ.

he threw it, and behold! it was a snake, active in motion.
ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނު އެ އަސާ އެއްލެވިއެވެ. ދެން އެހާރުން، ދުވެދުވެއޮތް ހަރުފައަކަށް ވެއްޖެއެވެ.

and not a sign we shewed them but it was greater than the like thereof; and we laid hold of them with the torment that haply they might turn.
އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެއްކެވި ކޮންމެ معجزة އެއް، އެފަދަ އަނެއް معجزة އަކަށްވުރެ މާބޮޑުކަމުގައި މެނުވީ ނުދައްކަވަމެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަށް عذاب ދެއްވައި، ހިއްޕެވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އެއުރެން (كافر ކަމުން) رجوع ވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and not a sign we showed them, but it was greater than its sister sign; and we seized them with chastisement, that haply they should return.
އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެއްކެވި ކޮންމެ معجزة އެއް، އެފަދަ އަނެއް معجزة އަކަށްވުރެ މާބޮޑުކަމުގައި މެނުވީ ނުދައްކަވަމެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންނަށް عذاب ދެއްވައި، ހިއްޕެވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އެއުރެން (كافر ކަމުން) رجوع ވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

(no sooner had he said this than) moses threw down his rod and behold, it was a veritable serpent,
ދެން އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަސާކޮޅު އެކަލޭގެފާނު އެއްލެވިއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެހިނދު އެ އަސާކޮޅު، ފާޅުވެގެންވާ ހަރުފަޔަކަށް ވެއްޖެއެވެ.

but when he saw it writhing as if it was a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [allah said], "o moses, approach and fear not.
އަދި ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަސާކޮޅު އެއްލަވާށެވެ! ފަހެ، އެ އަސާކޮޅު (އެއްލެވީމާ) ހަރުފައެއް ފަދައިން ހެލިފެލިވާތީ އެކަލޭގެފާނު ދެކެވަޑައިގަތްހިނދު (ބިރުފުޅުން) ފުރަގަަސްދެއްވައި ދުވެވަޑައިގަތެވެ. އަދި އެނބުރި ވަޑައެއްނުގަތެވެ. (وحى އިއްވެވިއެވެ.) އޭ موسى ގެފާނެވެ! ކުރިމަތިލައްވައި ވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ! އަދި ބިރުފުޅު ނުގަންނާށެވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ކަލޭގެފާނުވަނީ އަމާންކަން ލިބިގެންވާ މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިންނެވެ.

believers, eat from the good things that we have given you and give thanks to god if you worship only him.
އޭ إيمان ވެއްޖެ މީސްތަކުންނޭވެ! ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ދެއްވި ރަނގަޅު ތަކެތިން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކައިއުޅޭށެވެ! އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަމައެކަނި اللَّه އަށް އަޅުކަންކުރާ ކަމުގައިވާނަމަ، އެކަލާނގެއަށް ޝުކުރުވެރިވާށެވެ.

(but it was said unto them): flee not, but return to that (existence) which emasculated you and to your dwellings, that ye may be questioned.
(އެއުރެންނަށް އަންގަވާނެތެވެ.) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ފިލާން ނުދުވާށެވެ! އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެ نعمة ތަކުގައި އަރާމުކުރާންތިބި نعمة ތަކަށާއި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ގެތަކަށް އެނބުރި رجوع ވާށެވެ! (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާ ސުވާލު ކުރައްވާނެ ކަމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and when they entered after the manner their father commanded them, it availed them nothing against god; but it was a need in jacob's soul that he so satisfied. verily he was possessed of a knowledge for that we had taught him; but most men know not.
އަދި އެއުރެންގެ ބައްޕާ أمر ކުރެއްވިގޮތަށް، އެއުރެންގޮސް ވަންހިނދު އެކަލޭގެފާނަކަށް اللَّه ގެ حضرة ން އެއްވެސްކަމެއް އެއުރެންނަކަށް ފުއްދައެއް ނުދެއްވުނެވެ. ހަމައެކަނި، يعقوب ގެފާނުގެ ހިތްޕުޅުގައިއޮތް ބޭނުމެއް މެނުވީ ނުފުދެތެވެ. (އެއީ يعقوب ގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިގޮތަށް އެއުރެން އެކަން ކުރުމެވެ.) އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެކަލޭގެފާނީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް އުނގަންނައިދެއްވި އެއްޗެއް ރަނގަޅަށް ދެނެހުންނެވި ބޭކަލެކެވެ. އެހެނެއްކަމަކު، މީސްތަކުންކުރެ ގިނަމީހުން (އެކަމެއް) ނުދަނެތެވެ.

and in your creation, and in the crawling things that he has scattered far and near, there are signs for a nation whose belief is certain,
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހެއްދެވުމުގައްޔާއި، އެކަލާނގެ ފަތުރުއްވާފައިވާ (އެންމެހާ) ދިރޭތަކެތީގައި يقين ކުރާ ބަޔަކަށް ހެކިތަކެއްވެއެވެ.

"and keep your duty to him, fear him who has aided you with all (good things) that you know.
ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ދަންނަ نعمة ތަކުން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް مدد ދެއްވި ރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް تقوى ވެރިވާށެވެ!

and for the evildoing of those of jewry, we have forbidden them certain good things that were permitted to them, and for their barring from god's way many,
يهودى ން ކަމުގައިވީ މީހުންނަށް حلال ކުރައްވާފައިވާ ރަނގަޅު ތަކެތި، އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ حرام ކުރެއްވީ، އެއުރެން އަނިޔާވެރިވުމުގެ ސަބަބުންނެވެ. އަދި، އެއުރެން اللَّه ގެ މަގުގައި ގިނަގިނައިން ހުރަސްއަޅައި އުޅުމުގެ ސަބަބުންވެސް މެއެވެ.

and remember what time ye were few and downtrodden in the land fearing that the people would snatch you away; then he gave you refuge and strengthened you with his succour, and provided you with good things that haply ye might return thanks.
ބިމުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން عدد މަދު، ނިކަމެތި ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައި ވީހިނދު، ހަނދުމަކުރާށެވެ! (އެހިނދު) ތިޔަބައިމީހުންތިބީ (عداوة ތެރި) މީހުން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ޖަހައިގަނެގެން ގެންގޮސްފާނެކަމަށް ބިރުގެންފައެވެ. ދެން އެކަލާނގެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ހިޔާވަހިކަން ދެއްވިއެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ نصر ން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ގަދަކަން ދެއްވިއެވެ. އަދި ރަނގަޅު ތަކެތިން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް رزق ދެއްވިއެވެ. (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން شكر ވެރިވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and recall when you were few in numbers and deemed weak in the land, fearful lest people do away with you. then he provided you refuge, strengthened you with his help, and provided you sustenance with good things that you may be grateful.
ބިމުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން عدد މަދު، ނިކަމެތި ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައި ވީހިނދު، ހަނދުމަކުރާށެވެ! (އެހިނދު) ތިޔަބައިމީހުންތިބީ (عداوة ތެރި) މީހުން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ޖަހައިގަނެގެން ގެންގޮސްފާނެކަމަށް ބިރުގެންފައެވެ. ދެން އެކަލާނގެ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ހިޔާވަހިކަން ދެއްވިއެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ نصر ން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ގަދަކަން ދެއްވިއެވެ. އަދި ރަނގަޅު ތަކެތިން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް رزق ދެއްވިއެވެ. (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން شكر ވެރިވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.
