(މިއީ) مشرك ންގެ ތެރެއިން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން معاهدة އެއްކޮށް އެ معاهدة އުވާލާފައިވާ ބަޔަކުގެ ކިބައިން اللَّه އާއި، އެކަލާނގެ رسول އާ ބަރީއަވެގެންވާކަމުގެ އެންގެވުމެކެވެ.

and we covenanted with adam before, but he forgot, and we found in him no resolve.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، މީގެކުރިން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آدم ގެފާނަށް وصيّة ކުރައްވައި، عهد ހިއްޕެވީމެވެ. ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނު (އެ عهد) ހަނދުމަނެތުނެވެ. އަދި އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކިބައިން އެއްވެސް عزم އަކާއި، ثابت ކަމެއް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެކެވޮޑިއެއް ނުގަންނަވަމެވެ.

and assuredly we covenanted with adam aforetime, then he forgat, and we found not in him steadiness.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، މީގެކުރިން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آدم ގެފާނަށް وصيّة ކުރައްވައި، عهد ހިއްޕެވީމެވެ. ފަހެ، އެކަލޭގެފާނު (އެ عهد) ހަނދުމަނެތުނެވެ. އަދި އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކިބައިން އެއްވެސް عزم އަކާއި، ثابت ކަމެއް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެކެވޮޑިއެއް ނުގަންނަވަމެވެ.

and arruredly they had already covenanted with allah that they would not turn their backs; verily the covenant with allah must be questioned about.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެން ފުރަގަސްދީ ނުދާނެކަމަށް މީގެކުރިން اللَّه ގެ حضرة އަށް عهد ކޮށްފައިވިއެވެ. އަދި اللَّه އަށް ކުރާ عهد އަކީ (އެއާމެދު) سؤال ކުރައްވާނެ ކަމެއްކަމުގައި ވެއެވެ.

and of them are some who covenanted with saying: if he giveth of his grace, we will surely give alms and we will surely become of the righteous.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެކަލާނގެ فضل ވަންތަކަމުގެ ތެރެއިން ތިމަންމެންނަށް ދެއްވައިފިނަމަ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންމެން صدقات ކުރާ ހުށީމުއޭ، އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންމެން صالح ންގެ ތެރެއިން ވާހުށީމުއޭ ކިޔައި، اللَّه އަށް عهد ކޮށް އުޅުނު މީހުންވެސް، އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން ވެތެވެ.

and yet they had already covenanted with allah not to turn their backs, and a covenant with allah must (surely) be answered for.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެން ފުރަގަސްދީ ނުދާނެކަމަށް މީގެކުރިން اللَّه ގެ حضرة އަށް عهد ކޮށްފައިވިއެވެ. އަދި اللَّه އަށް ކުރާ عهد އަކީ (އެއާމެދު) سؤال ކުރައްވާނެ ކަމެއްކަމުގައި ވެއެވެ.

and they said: magician! supplicate thy lord for us for that which he hath covenanted with thee; verily we shall let ourselves be guided.
އެއުރެން ބުނޫއެވެ. އޭ ޖާދޫވެރިޔާއެވެ! އެކަލާނގެ ކަލޭގެފާނަށް عهد ވެވޮޑިގެންނެވި ކަންތައް ތިމަންމެންނަށް ދެއްވުމަށްއެދި ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް دعاء ކުރައްވައި ބައްލަވާށެވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންމެން ވާހުށީ ތެދުމަގުލިބިގެންވާ ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައެވެ.

how can there be for the associators covenant with allah. and his apostle save for those with whom ye covenanted near the sacred mosque? act straight with them so long as they act straight with you.
اللَّه ގެ حضرة ގައްޔާއި، އެކަލާނގެ رسول އާގެ އަރިހުގައި، مشرك ންނަށް عهد އެއް އޮންނާނީ، ކޮންފަދައަކުން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ حرمة ތެރި މިސްކިތުގެ ކައިރީގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެބަޔަކާ عهد ކުރި މީހުންނަށް މެނުވީއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް ސީދާވެގެންތިބިހާ ހިނދަކު ތިޔަބައިމީހުންވެސް އެއުރެންނަށް ސީދާވާށެވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، تقوى ވެރިންދެކެ اللَّه ލޯބިވެވޮޑިގެންވެއެވެ.

and they said [to musa (moses)]: "o you sorcerer! invoke your lord for us according to what he has covenanted with you.
އެއުރެން ބުނޫއެވެ. އޭ ޖާދޫވެރިޔާއެވެ! އެކަލާނގެ ކަލޭގެފާނަށް عهد ވެވޮޑިގެންނެވި ކަންތައް ތިމަންމެންނަށް ދެއްވުމަށްއެދި ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް دعاء ކުރައްވައި ބައްލަވާށެވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންމެން ވާހުށީ ތެދުމަގުލިބިގެންވާ ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައެވެ.

and fulfil the covenant of allahs when ye have covenanted, and violate not the oaths after the ratification thereof, and surely ye have appointed allah a surety over you. verily allah knoweth that which ye do:
ތިޔަބައިމީހުން اللَّه އަށް عهد ކޮށްފިނަމަ، އެ عهد ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ފުއްދާށެވެ! އަދި ހުވާތައް ގަދަކޮށް، ކަށަވަރުކުރުމަށްފަހު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެ ހުވާތައް އުވައިނުލާށެވެ! އެހެނީ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ މައްޗަށް، ހެކިވެ ޖާމިނުވެވޮޑިގެންވާ ފަރާތެއް ކަމުގައި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ލާފައިވެއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކުރާ ކަންތައް، اللَّه ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވެތެވެ.

among the muslims are the men who have proved true what they had covenanted with allah; so among them is one who has already fulfilled his vow, and among them is one still waiting; and they have not changed a bit.
اللَّه އަށް އެއުރެން عهد ވީ ކަންތަކަށް ތެދުވެރިވީ ފިރިހެނުންތަކެއް مؤمن ންގެ ތެރެއިންވެއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން (شهيد ވެ) މަރުވެގެންދިޔަބަޔަކު ވެއެވެ. އަދި (شهيد ވުމަށް) انتظار ކުރާ ބަޔަކުވެސް އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން ވެއެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން (އެ عهد އަކަށް) އެއްވެސްކަހަލަ ބަދަލެއް ނުގެނެތެވެ.

and fulfill the covenant of allah (bai'a: pledge for islam) when you have covenanted, and break not the oaths after you have confirmed them, and indeed you have appointed allah your surety. verily!
ތިޔަބައިމީހުން اللَّه އަށް عهد ކޮށްފިނަމަ، އެ عهد ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ފުއްދާށެވެ! އަދި ހުވާތައް ގަދަކޮށް، ކަށަވަރުކުރުމަށްފަހު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެ ހުވާތައް އުވައިނުލާށެވެ! އެހެނީ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ މައްޗަށް، ހެކިވެ ޖާމިނުވެވޮޑިގެންވާ ފަރާތެއް ކަމުގައި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ލާފައިވެއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކުރާ ކަންތައް، اللَّه ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވެތެވެ.
