އެއްވެސް ރަށެއް، އެރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް إنذار ކުރައްވާނޭ رسول ން ނުފޮނުއްވައެއް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކެއް ނުކުރައްވަމެވެ.

and we did not destroy any city except that it had warners
އެއްވެސް ރަށެއް، އެރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް إنذار ކުރައްވާނޭ رسول ން ނުފޮނުއްވައެއް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކެއް ނުކުރައްވަމެވެ.

did we not destroy the men of old (for their evil)?
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، އިސްވެދިޔަ މީހުން ހަލާކު ނުކުރައްވަންހެއްޔެވެ؟

did we not destroy many a nation of the earlier times?
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، އިސްވެދިޔަ މީހުން ހަލާކު ނުކުރައްވަންހެއްޔެވެ؟

and never did we destroy a township, but it had its warners
އެއްވެސް ރަށެއް، އެރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް إنذار ކުރައްވާނޭ رسول ން ނުފޮނުއްވައެއް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކެއް ނުކުރައްވަމެވެ.

and never did we destroy a town but it had a term made known.
އެ ރަށަކަށް ކަނޑައެޅި އެނގިގެންވާ މުއްދަތެއްވާ حال ގައި މެނުވީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއްވެސް ރަށެއް ހަލާކެއް ނުކުރައްވަމެވެ.

and that allah may purge those who believe and destroy the infidels.
އަދި، اللَّه، إيمان ވެއްޖެ މީސްތަކުން طاهر ކުރައްވައި، ސާފުކުރެއްވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި، كافر ން ހަލާކުކުރައްވައި، ނެތިކުރެއްވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

if he will, he could destroy you and bring about a new creation.
އެކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާނަމަ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނެތިކޮށްލައްވައި އާ مخلوق ންތަކެއް ގެންނަވައިފާހުށްޓެވެ.

and it is binding on a town which we destroy that they shall not return.
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކުކުރެއްވި ރަށެއްގެ أهل ވެރިން އެނބުރި (ދުނިޔެއަށް) ނާންނާނެކަމަށް އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް ކަނޑައަޅުއްވާފައިވެއެވެ.

and never did we destroy a township but there was a known decree for it.
އެ ރަށަކަށް ކަނޑައެޅި އެނގިގެންވާ މުއްދަތެއްވާ حال ގައި މެނުވީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއްވެސް ރަށެއް ހަލާކެއް ނުކުރައްވަމެވެ.

and never did we destroy a township which did not have heralds of warning, –
އެއްވެސް ރަށެއް، އެރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިންނަށް إنذار ކުރައްވާނޭ رسول ން ނުފޮނުއްވައެއް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކެއް ނުކުރައްވަމެވެ.

and many a generation we did destroy before them, who exceeded them in wealth and pomp!
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ ކުރިން ކިތައް ކިތައް أمّة ހަލާކުކުރެއްވިން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ މުދާވެރިކަމުގެ ގޮތުންނާއި، ފެންނަ ފެނުމަށް އެއުރެން މާރަނގަޅެވެ.

and that allah may purify the believers [through trials] and destroy the disbelievers.
އަދި، اللَّه، إيمان ވެއްޖެ މީސްތަކުން طاهر ކުރައްވައި، ސާފުކުރެއްވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި، كافر ން ހަލާކުކުރައްވައި، ނެތިކުރެއްވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and many a township did we destroy, for they were unjust, and we created other nations after them.
އަނިޔާވެރިވި ކިތައްކިތައް ރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކު ކުރެއްވިން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަދި އެއުރެންގެ ފަހުން އެހެންބަޔަކު ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އުފެއްދެވީމެވެ.

and for those who disbelieve – may they be ruined, and may allah destroy all their deeds!
كافر ވިމީހުން (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނަށް ހަލާކާއި، އަބާއްޖަވެރިކަންހުށްޓެވެ. އަދި، އެކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ عمل ތައް ގެއްލެނިކުރެއްވިއެވެ.

and many a generation we did destroy before them; do you see any one of them or hear their faintest sound?
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، އެއުރެންގެ ކުރިން ކިތައްކިތައް أمّة ހަލާކު ކުރެއްވިންހެއްޔެވެ؟ އެއުރެންކުރެ އެކަކުވެސް، ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ފެނިވަޑައިގަންނަވާތޯއެވެ؟ ނުވަތަ އެއުރެންގެ އެއްވެސް އަޑެއްބަޑެއް، ކަލޭގެފާނަށް އިވިވަޑައިގަންނަވާތޯއެވެ؟
