and they who reject our communications are deaf and dumb, in utter darkness; whom allah pleases he causes to err and whom he pleases he puts on the right way.
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތައް ދޮގުކުޅަ މީހުންވަނީ، އަނދިރިތަކެއްގެ ތެރޭގައިވާ، ބީރު އަދި މަންމަން ބަޔަކުކަމުގައެވެ. اللَّه އިރާދަކުރައްވާ މީހަކު މަގު ފުރައްދަވަތެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެ އިރާދަކުރައްވާ މީހަކު ސީދާ ވެގެންވާ ތެދުމަގެއްގައި ލަހައްޓަވަތެވެ.

(zakariya) said: "o my lord! give me a sign." "thy sign," was the answer, "shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three nights, although thou art not dumb."
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ދެންނެވިއެވެ. އަޅުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޮ! އަޅާއަށް علامة އެއް ލައްވައިފާނދޭވެ! އެކަލާނގެ وحى ކުރެއްވިއެވެ. ކަލޭގެފާނަށް އޮތް علامة އަކީ ކަލޭގެފާނަށް (ސަލާމަތުން ހުންނަވައިމެ) ފުރިހަމަ ތިންރޭ ވަންދެން މީސްތަކުންނާ ވާހަކަ ނުދެއްކެވޭގޮތްވުމެވެ.
