some faces, that day, will be humiliated,
އެދުވަހުން، ދެރަވެ ނިކަމެތިވެގެންވާ މޫނުތަކެއް ވެއެވެ.

they wanted to harm him, but we humiliated them all.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން އެކަލޭގެފާނު ހަލާކުކޮށްލުމަށް މަކަރުވެރި ރޭވުމެއް ރޭވޫއެވެ. އަދި ދެރަވެ ނިކަމެތިވި ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެން ލެއްވީމެވެ.

pharaoh and his men were defeated and utterly humiliated.
ފަހެ، އެތާނގައި އެއުރެން ދެރަވެ ބަލިވެއްޖައޫއެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން ނިކަމެތީންކަމުގައި ވެގެން ހިނގައްޖައޫއެވެ.

they were therefore defeated here and they turned back humiliated.
ފަހެ، އެތާނގައި އެއުރެން ދެރަވެ ބަލިވެއްޖައޫއެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން ނިކަމެތީންކަމުގައި ވެގެން ހިނގައްޖައޫއެވެ.

thus there and then they were vanquished and overthrown, humiliated.
ފަހެ، އެތާނގައި އެއުރެން ދެރަވެ ބަލިވެއްޖައޫއެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން ނިކަމެތީންކަމުގައި ވެގެން ހިނގައްޖައޫއެވެ.

their desire was to outwit him, but we made them to be the humiliated.
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން އެކަލޭގެފާނު ހަލާކުކޮށްލުމަށް މަކަރުވެރި ރޭވުމެއް ރޭވޫއެވެ. އަދި ދެރަވެ ނިކަމެތިވި ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެން ލެއްވީމެވެ.

those who resist allah and his messenger will be among those most humiliated.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، اللَّه އާއި، އެކަލާނގެ رسول އާއަށް ދެކޮޅުވެރިވާ މީހުން (ދަންނާށެވެ!) އެއުރެންވަނީ، އެންމެ ދެރަ ނިކަމެތި މީހުންގެ ތެރޭގައެވެ.

do not set up any other god with allah lest you are rendered humiliated and helpless.
اللَّه އާއެކު އެހެން إله އަކު ނުލާށެވެ! ފަހެ، އޭރުން މަލާމާތްލިބި، ނިކަމެތިވެގެންވާ حال، ތިބާ އިންނަންޖެހިދާނެތެވެ.

say (o muhammad saw): "yes, and you shall then be humiliated."
ކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! އާނއެކެވެ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނިކަމެތިވެގެންވާ حال ގައެވެ.

their eyes humiliated, they will emerge from the graves, as if they were swarming locusts.
އެއުރެންގެ ލޯތައް ތިރިވެ، ނިކަމެތިވެގެންވާ حال، ފެތުރިގަންނަ ގޮއްފުޅަނގިތަކެއް ފަދައިން ކަށްވަޅުތަކުން އެއުރެން ނުކުންނާނެތެވެ.

multiplied for him is the punishment on the day of resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated -
އެމީހަކަށް قيامة ދުވަހުން عذاب ގިނަގުނަކުރައްވާހުށްޓެވެ. އަދި އިހާނެތިކަން ލިބިގެންވާ حال އެ عذاب ގެ ތެރޭގައި، އެމީހަކު ދެމިހުންނާނެތެވެ.

but when he tests him by restricting his provision, he says: 'my lord has humiliated me'
އަދި ދަންނާށެވެ! އެކަލާނގެ، އެ އިންސާނާ امتحان ކުރައްވައި، އަދި އޭނާގެ رزق ދަތިކުރައްވައިފިހިނދު، ފަހެ، އޭނާ ބުނެތެވެ. ތިމަންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ، ތިމަން ނިކަމެތިކުރައްވައިފިއެވެ.

but when he tests him and tightens for him his provision, he says, ‘my lord has humiliated me.’
އަދި ދަންނާށެވެ! އެކަލާނގެ، އެ އިންސާނާ امتحان ކުރައްވައި، އަދި އޭނާގެ رزق ދަތިކުރައްވައިފިހިނދު، ފަހެ، އޭނާ ބުނެތެވެ. ތިމަންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ، ތިމަން ނިކަމެތިކުރައްވައިފިއެވެ.

(this failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but we made them the ones most humiliated!
ފަހެ، އެއުރެން އެކަލޭގެފާނު ހަލާކުކޮށްލުމަށް މަކަރުވެރި ރޭވުމެއް ރޭވޫއެވެ. އަދި ދެރަވެ ނިކަމެތިވި ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެން ލެއްވީމެވެ.

and allah most assuredly helped you at badr when you were humiliated. therefore, fear allah, in order that you will give thanks to him.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނިކަމެތީން ކަމުގައިވަނިކޮށް، بدر ހަނގުރާމައިގައި اللَّه، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް نصر ދެއްވިއެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން اللَّه އަށް تقوى ވެރިވާށެވެ! (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން شكر ވެރި ވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

indeed pharaoh transgressed in the land and divided its people into sections. one group of them he humiliated, and slew their sons and spared their daughters.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، فرعون، ބިމުގައި ބޮޑާވެގެންފިއެވެ. އަދި އެ ބިމުގެ أهل ވެރިން ބައިތަކަކަށް ބަހައިލިއެވެ. އޭގެތެރެއިން އެއްބަޔަކު ނިކަމެތިކުރަމުން ގެންދިޔައެވެ. އެއުރެންގެ ފިރިހެން ދަރިން قتل ކޮށް، އެއުރެންގެ އަންހެންދަރިން ދޫކޮށްލިއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އޭނާއަކީ، فساد ކުރާ މީހުންގެ ތެރެއިންވީ މީހެކެވެ.

our lord verily whomsoever thou makest to enter into the fire, him thou hast surely humiliated and for the wrong-doers there shall be no helpers.
އަޅަމެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޮ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެ ނަރަކަޔަށް ވައްދަވައިފިމީހާ، ފަހެ، އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެ އެމީހަކު ނިކަމެތި ކުރައްވައިފިކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ. އަނިޔާވެރިންނަށް نصر ދޭނެ އެއްވެސް ބަޔަކު ނުވެއެވެ.

go back then, we shall surely come against them with soldiers of which they have no power to oppose, and we shall drive them from there abased and humiliated'
ތިޔަ ހަދިޔާއާއިގެން އެއުރެންގެ ގާތަށް އެނބުރިދާށެވެ! ފަހެ، އެއުރެންނަށް ދެކޮޅުހެދުމަށް ކުޅަދާނަވެގެންނުވާފަދަ لشكر އަކާއިގެން އެއުރެންގެ ގާތަށް ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އަހުރެމެން ދާހުށީމުއެވެ. އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެން ދެރަވެ، ނިކަމެތިވެގެންވާ حال ގައި، އެރަށުން އެއުރެން ބޭރުކުރާހުށީމުއެވެ.

and had we destroyed them with a torment before it, surely they would have said: o our lord why sent not thou unto us an apostle that we might have followed thy signs before we were disgraced and humiliated.
އޭގެކުރިން (އެބަހީ: قرآن ބާވައިލެއްވުމުގެ، ނުވަތަ محمد ގެފާނު ފޮނުއްވުމުގެ ކުރިން) ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ عذاب ން އެއުރެން ހަލާކުކުރެއްވިނަމަ، އެއުރެން ބުނީސްކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ. އަޅަމެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޯއެވެ! އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެ އަޅަމެންގެ ގާތަށް رسول އަކު ނުފޮނުއްވެވީ ކީއްވެގެންތޯއެވެ؟ ފަހެ، އޭރުން ތިމަންމެން ދެރަވެ ހަލާކުވުމުގެ ކުރީގައި އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތަކަށް تبع ވީމުހެވެ.

but when he trieth him, restricting his subsistence for him, then saith he (in despair), "my lord hath humiliated me!"
އަދި ދަންނާށެވެ! އެކަލާނގެ، އެ އިންސާނާ امتحان ކުރައްވައި، އަދި އޭނާގެ رزق ދަތިކުރައްވައިފިހިނދު، ފަހެ، އޭނާ ބުނެތެވެ. ތިމަންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ، ތިމަން ނިކަމެތިކުރައްވައިފިއެވެ.
