he created man of clay like the potter's,
މުށިތަކެއްފަދަ ހިކި މަށިން، އެކަލާނގެ އިންސާނާ (އެބަހީ: آدم ގެފާނު) ހެއްދެވިއެވެ.

be steadfast in your prayer. do not be like the pagans
އެކަލާނގެއަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން توبة ވެ، رجوع ވާ حال ގައެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެއަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން تقوى ވެރިވާށެވެ! އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނަމާދު قائم ކުރާށެވެ! އަދި مشرك ންގެ ތެރެއިން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނުވާށެވެ!

and our command is but once, like the twinkling of an eye.
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އަމުރުފުޅު އެއީ، އެއް އަމުރުފުޅެއް ކަމުގައިމެނުވީ ނުވެއެވެ. ލޮލުގެ އެސްފިޔަޖަހައިލުން ފަދައިންނެވެ.

he created man out of dry clay, like the potter’s,
މުށިތަކެއްފަދަ ހިކި މަށިން، އެކަލާނގެ އިންސާނާ (އެބަހީ: آدم ގެފާނު) ހެއްދެވިއެވެ.

and he who believed said: o my people. verily i fear for you a fate like the day of the confederates.
އަދި إيمان ވިމީހާ ބުންޏެވެ. އޭ އަހުރެންގެ قوم ގެމީހުންނޭވެ! كافر جماعة ތަކަށް عذاب އައި ދުވަސްފަދަ ދުވަހެއް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް އަތުވެދާނެކަމަށް އަހުރެން ބިރުގަންނަމެވެ.

(of a punishment) like the one we sent down upon the dividers.
ބައިބައިކުޅަ މީހުންގެ މައްޗަށް، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ (عذاب) ބާވައިލެއްވި ފަދައިންނެވެ.

(in beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone.
(ރީތިކަމާއި، ސާފުކަމުގައި) އެކަނބަލުން ياقوت އާއި، مرجان ފަދައެވެ.

and man prays for evil like the way he seeks goodness; and man is very hasty.
އިންސާނާ، ހެޔޮކަމަށްއެދި دعاء ކުރާ ފަދައިން، ނުބައިކަމަށްވެސް އެދި دعاء ކުރެތެވެ. އަދި އިންސާނާއަކީ، އަވަސްވެގަންނަ މީހަކު ކަމުގައިވިއެވެ.

and our command is but a single [word], like the twinkling of an eye.
އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އަމުރުފުޅު އެއީ، އެއް އަމުރުފުޅެއް ކަމުގައިމެނުވީ ނުވެއެވެ. ލޮލުގެ އެސްފިޔަޖަހައިލުން ފަދައިންނެވެ.

certainly allah knows what they hide and what they disclose; indeed he does not like the proud.
شك އެއްނެތެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެން ސިއްރުކުރާ ކަންތަކާއި، ފާޅުކުރާ ކަންތައް اللَّه ދެނެވޮޑިގެންވެތެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ބޮޑާވެގަންނަ މީހުންދެކެ، އެކަލާނގެ ލޯބިވެވޮޑިގެނެއް ނުވެތެވެ.

and he who believed said, "o my people, indeed i fear for you [a fate] like the day of the companies -
އަދި إيمان ވިމީހާ ބުންޏެވެ. އޭ އަހުރެންގެ قوم ގެމީހުންނޭވެ! كافر جماعة ތަކަށް عذاب އައި ދުވަސްފަދަ ދުވަހެއް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް އަތުވެދާނެކަމަށް އަހުރެން ބިރުގަންނަމެވެ.

and the moon! for it we have decreed mansions till it reverteth like the old branch of a palm-tree.
އަދި ހަނދަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ منـزل ތަކެއް މިންވަރު ކުރެއްވީމެވެ. ދުވަސްވެ، ހިކި، ގުދުވެފައިވާ އިހާގޮނޑިއެއް ފަދައިން އެނބުރި އަތުވެއްޖައުމަށް ދާނދެނެވެ. (އެބަހީ: ހުޅެވިހަނދަކަށް ބަދަލުވެއްޖައުމަށް ދާނދެނެވެ.)

in order to reward those who believed and did good deeds, by his munificence; indeed he does not like the disbelievers.
(އެއީ) إيمان ވެ، صالح عمل ތައް ކުޅަމީހުންނަށް އެކަލާނގެ فضل ވަންތަކަމުން އެއުރެންނަށް ޖަޒާ ދެއްވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެކަލާނގެ، كافر ންދެކެ ލޯބިވެވޮޑިގެނެއް ނުވެތެވެ.
