(تقوى ވެރިންނަށް އަންގަވާނެތެވެ.) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން أمان ކަމާއެކު އެ ސުވަރުގެޔަށް ވަންނާށެވެ! އެއީ އަބަދަށް ދެމިތިބުމުގެ ދުވަހެވެ.

we appointed immortality for no mortal before thee. what! if thou diest, can they be immortal!
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކުރިޔަކުންވެސް آدم ގެދަރިޔަކަށް (މަރުނުވެ) ދެމިހުރުމެއް ނުލައްވަމެވެ. ފަހެ، ކަލޭގެފާނު އަވަހާރަވެއްޖެނަމަ، އެއުރެންނީ ފަހެ، ދެމިތިބޭނޭ ބަޔެއް ހެއްޔެވެ؟

he said, ‘o adam! shall i show you the tree of immortality, and an imperishable kingdom?’
ފަހެ، شيطان އާ އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް ވަސްވާސްދީ ބުންޏެވެ. އޭ آدم ގެފާނެވެ! (އެ ގަހުން ފަރިއްކުޅުއްވައިފިނަމަ، ކަލޭގެފާނު އަބަދަށް ދެމިހުންނަވާނެ) شجرة الخُلد ގަހާއި، ފަނާވެގެންނުދާނޭ ވެރިކަމެއް، ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ތިމަން ދައްކަންތޯއެވެ؟

and we appointed not for any human being before thee immortality; if thou then diest, are they to be immortals?
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކުރިޔަކުންވެސް آدم ގެދަރިޔަކަށް (މަރުނުވެ) ދެމިހުރުމެއް ނުލައްވަމެވެ. ފަހެ، ކަލޭގެފާނު އަވަހާރަވެއްޖެނަމަ، އެއުރެންނީ ފަހެ، ދެމިތިބޭނޭ ބަޔެއް ހެއްޔެވެ؟

but the devil whispered to him, saying: o adam! shall i show thee the tree of immortality and power that wasteth not away?
ފަހެ، شيطان އާ އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް ވަސްވާސްދީ ބުންޏެވެ. އޭ آدم ގެފާނެވެ! (އެ ގަހުން ފަރިއްކުޅުއްވައިފިނަމަ، ކަލޭގެފާނު އަބަދަށް ދެމިހުންނަވާނެ) شجرة الخُلد ގަހާއި، ފަނާވެގެންނުދާނޭ ވެރިކަމެއް، ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ތިމަން ދައްކަންތޯއެވެ؟

and we granted not to any human being immortality before you (o muhammad saw), then if you die, would they live forever?
ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ކުރިޔަކުންވެސް آدم ގެދަރިޔަކަށް (މަރުނުވެ) ދެމިހުރުމެއް ނުލައްވަމެވެ. ފަހެ، ކަލޭގެފާނު އަވަހާރަވެއްޖެނަމަ، އެއުރެންނީ ފަހެ، ދެމިތިބޭނޭ ބަޔެއް ހެއްޔެވެ؟

but the shaitan made an evil suggestion to him; he said: o adam! shall i guide you to the tree of immortality and a kingdom which decays not?
ފަހެ، شيطان އާ އެކަލޭގެފާނަށް ވަސްވާސްދީ ބުންޏެވެ. އޭ آدم ގެފާނެވެ! (އެ ގަހުން ފަރިއްކުޅުއްވައިފިނަމަ، ކަލޭގެފާނު އަބަދަށް ދެމިހުންނަވާނެ) شجرة الخُلد ގަހާއި، ފަނާވެގެންނުދާނޭ ވެރިކަމެއް، ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ތިމަން ދައްކަންތޯއެވެ؟

say, "which is better, this or the paradise of immortality which the righteous have been promised? it is their recompense and their destination."
ކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! ހެޔޮކަންބޮޑީ އެގޮތްހެއްޔެވެ؟ ނުވަތަ تقوى ވެރިންނަށް وعد ކުރައްވާފައިވާ، ދެމިތިބުމުގެ ސުވަރުގެ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އެއުރެންނަށް ޖަޒާއެއްކަމުގައި އެ ސުވަރުގެ ވެއެވެ. އަދި އެންމެފަހުން رجوع ވަނިވި ތަނެއްކަމުގައިވެސް (އެތަން) ވޭމެއެވެ.

say: is that (doom) better or the garden of immortality which is promised unto those who ward off (evil)? it will be their reward and journey's end.
ކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވާށެވެ! ހެޔޮކަންބޮޑީ އެގޮތްހެއްޔެވެ؟ ނުވަތަ تقوى ވެރިންނަށް وعد ކުރައްވާފައިވާ، ދެމިތިބުމުގެ ސުވަރުގެ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އެއުރެންނަށް ޖަޒާއެއްކަމުގައި އެ ސުވަރުގެ ވެއެވެ. އަދި އެންމެފަހުން رجوع ވަނިވި ތަނެއްކަމުގައިވެސް (އެތަން) ވޭމެއެވެ.
