އެއުރެންނީ، އެއުރެންގެ ނަމާދުގައި މަޑުމައިތިރިވެތިބޭ މީހުންނެވެ.

those who believed in our communications and were submissive:
އެއުރެންނީ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތަކަށް إيمان ވެ، مسلم ން ކަމުގައިވީ މީހުންނެވެ.

‘indeed, they are [meek and] submissive today!’
އަދި ކިއެއްތަ! އެއުރެން މިއަދު ތިބީ ކިޔަމަންވެ ބޯލަނބައިގެންނެވެ.

ސަލާމަތްވެގެންވާ ހިތަކާއިގެން اللَّه ގެ حضرة އަށް އައިމީހަކަށް މެނުވީއެވެ.

saying: exalt not yourselves against me, and come unto me submissive.

all that is in the heavens and the earth will return to the beneficent god as his submissive servants.
رحمن ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة އަށް އަޅެއްގެ ގޮތުގައި ނާންނާނޭ ހަމައެކަކުވެސް، އުޑުތަކުގައްޔާއި، ބިމުގައި ނުވެތެވެ.

it is he who has made the earth submissive to you. walk about in its land and eat of his provision.
އެކަލާނގެއީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށްޓަކައި، ފަސޭހަތަނެއް ކަމުގައި ބިންގަނޑު ލެއްވި ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ. ފަހެ، އެތާނގެ ކަންކޮޅުތަކުގައި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހިނގައި ދަތުރުކުރާށެވެ! އަދި އެކަލާނގެ ދެއްވި رزق ން ކާށެވެ! އަދި އަލުން ދިރުއްވައި ފޮނުއްވުންވަނީ، އެކަލާނގެ حضرة އަށެވެ.

and to him only belong all those who are in the heavens and the earth; all are submissive to him.
އަދި އުޑުތަކާއި، ބިމުގައިވާހާ ބަޔަކު މިލްކުވެގެންވަނީ، އެކަލާނގެއަށެވެ. އެ އެންމެން އެކަލާނގެއަށް ކިޔަމަންވެގެންވެތެވެ.

and already we overtook them with chastisement, but they were not submissive to their lord, nor do they humble themselves.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ عذاب ދެއްވައި އެއުރެން ހިއްޕެވީމެވެ. ދެންވެސް އެއުރެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް، އެއުރެން މަޑުމައިތިރިވެ، އަޅުކަންކޮށް دعاء ކޮށެއް ނަހަދަތެވެ.

be ever mindful of prayers, especially the middle prayer; and stand up before god in submissive devotion.
ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ނަމާދުތަކާއި، އަދި، މެދުނަމާދުގެ މައްޗަށް ރައްކާތެރިވާށެވެ! އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން اللَّه އަށް ކިޔަމަންތެރިވެ، މަޑުމައިތިރިކަމާއެކު (ނަމާދުގައި) قائم ވެ ތިބޭށެވެ!

and seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to allah]
އަދި ކެތްތެރިކަމާއި ނަމާދުން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ވާގިހޯދާށެވެ! ބިރުވެތިވެ މަޑުމައިތިރިވާ މީހުންނަށް މެނުވީ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއީ ވަރަށް ބޮޑުކަމެކެވެ. (އެބަހީ: ދަތި އުނދަގޫ ކަމެކެވެ.)

and whosoever of you is submissive unto allah and his messenger and doeth right, we shall give her her reward twice over, and we have prepared for her a rich provision.
އަދި ތިޔަކަނބަލުންގެ ތެރެއިން اللَّه އަށާއި، އެކަލާނގެ رسول އާއަށް ކިޔަމަންތެރިވެ صالح عمل ކުރާ މީހަކަށް، އެމީހާގެ ދަރުމަ، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ދެގުނަޔަށް ދެއްވާހުށީމެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެމީހަކަށްޓަކައި (ސުވަރުގޭގައި) ދީލަތި ދެއްވުމެއް ތައްޔާރު ކުރެއްވީމެވެ.

it is he who apportions the means of livelihood among them in this world, and raises some in position over the others to make some others submissive. the favours of your lord are better than what they amass.
ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ رحمة ބަހައިދެނީ އެއުރެން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ (އެބަހީ: އެއުރެން ބޭނުން މީހަކަށް ނަބީކަންދެނީ އެއުރެން ހެއްޔެވެ؟) ދުނިޔޭގެ ދިރިއުޅުމުގައި އެއުރެންގެމެދުގައި ދިރިއުޅުމުގެ ކަންތައްތައް ބެއްސެވީ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންކުރެ ބައެއްމީހުން، އަނެއްބައިމީހުންގެ މައްޗަށް ދަރަޖަތަކަކަށް އުފުއްލެވީމެވެ. (އެއީ) އެއުރެންކުރެ އެއްބަޔަކު އަނެއްބަޔެއްގެ خدمة ތެރިކަން ހިފުމަށްޓަކައެވެ. އަދި ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ رحمة އެއުރެން އެއްކުރާތަކެއްޗަށްވުރެ ހެޔޮކަން ބޮޑެވެ.

and he said: 'o council, which of you will bring me her throne, before they come to me, muslims (submissive to allah)'
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. އޭ ބޮޑުންނޭވެ! އެއުރެން ބޯލަނބައި ކިޔަމަންވެ، إسلام ވެގެން ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހަށް އައުމުގެ ކުރީގައި، އެކަމަނާގެ تخت ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހަށް ގެނެސްދޭނީ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ތެރެއިން ކާކުހެއްޔެވެ؟

lord, make us submissive to you; make of our descendants a nation that will submit to you. teach us our rites of worship and turn to us with mercy; you are the forgiving one and the merciful.
އަޅަމެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޮ! އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް ފުރިހަމަޔަށް ކިޔަމަންވާ ދެމީހުން ކަމުގައި އަޅަމެން ލައްވައިފާނދޭވެ! އަދި އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް ފުރިހަމަޔަށް ކިޔަމަންވާ أمّة އެއް، އަޅަމެންގެ ދަރިފަސްކޮޅުން ލައްވައިފާނދޭވެ! އަދި އަޅަމެން އަޅުކަންކުރާނޭ ގޮތްތައް އަޅަމެންނަށް ދައްކަވައިފާނދޭވެ! އަދި އަޅަމެންގެ މައްޗަށް توبة ލައްވައިފާނދޭވެ! ހަމަކަށަވަރުން އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެއީ ގިނަގިނައިން توبة ލައްވާ، رحيم ވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

abraham charged his children with this, and so did jacob, saying: 'my sons, allah has chosen for you the religion. do not die except being submissive (muslims)'
