o believers, if you listen to the infidels they will make you turn your backs, and you will be the losers.
އޭ إيمان ވެއްޖެ މީސްތަކުންނޭވެ! كافر ވި މީހުންނަށް ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކިޔަމަންވާނަމަ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ފުރަގަހަށް އެއުރެން ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އަނބުރާ ރައްދުކޮށްފާނެތެވެ. (އެބަހީ: ތިޔަބައިމީހުން دين ން ބޭރުކޮށްފާނެތެވެ.) ފަހެ، (އެހިނދު) ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެނބުރިދާނީ، ގެއްލެނިވެގެންވާ حال ގައެވެ.

whenever the quran is recited (to you), listen to it quietly so that you may receive mercy.
އަދި قرآن ކިޔަވާހިނދު ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ހަނުތިބެ، އެއަށް ކަނުލައި އަހާށެވެ! (އެއީ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް رحمة ލެއްވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

he said, "do you bring me such news despite my old age? what kind of good news are you bringing me?"
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ތިމަން މުސްކުޅިވީހިނދު، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އުފާވެރިކަމުގެ خبر ތިމަންނާއަށް ދެނީހެއްޔެވެ؟ އުފާވެރިކަމުގެ خبر ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ތިޔަދެނީ ފަހެ، ކޮންކަމެއްގެ ވާހަކައިން ހެއްޔެވެ؟

so o muslims, do you wish for the jews to accept faith in you whereas a group of them used to listen to the words of allah, and then after having understood it, purposely changed it?
ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް (އެބަހީ: رسول އާ އާއި مؤمن ންގެ ގޮވާލުމަށް) އެއުރެން (އިޖާބަދީ) إيمان ވުމަށް، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އުންމީދު ކުރަނީ ހެއްޔެވެ؟ اللَّه ގެ كلام ފުޅު އަހައި، އެއުރެން އެ كلام ފުޅު ވިސްނައި ދެނެގަތުމަށްފަހު، އެއުރެން ދެނެތިބެ، ދެން އެ كلام ފުޅު ބަދަލުކުރާ ބަޔަކު އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން ވާކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

see what kinds of comparisons they make for thee! but they have gone astray, and never a way will they be able to find!
ކަލޭގެފާނާމެދު އެއުރެން މިސާލުޖެހީ، ކޮންފަދައަކުންކަން ކަލޭގެފާނު ދެކެވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ! ފަހެ، އެއުރެން މަގުފުރެދިއްޖައޫއެވެ. ފަހެ، މަގެއް ހޯދުމަކަށް އެއުރެންނަކަށް ކުޅަދާނަވެގެނެއް ނުވެތެވެ.

(joseph) said, "to prove that my interpretation of your dream is true, i can tell you what kind of food you will receive even before it comes to you. my lord has given me such talents.
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ. ތިޔަ ދެމީހުންނަށް ލިބޭ ކާނާއެއް ތިޔަ ދެމީހުންނަށް އައުމުގެ ކުރިން، ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނު ތިޔަ ދެމީހުންނަށް އެއީ ކޮންއެއްޗެއްކަން އަންގައިދެއްވާހުށީމެވެ. އެއީ ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނަށް އުނގަންނައިދެއްވި ކަންތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން ކަމެކެވެ. اللَّه އަށް إيمان ނުވާ ބަޔެއްގެ دين ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަން ދޫކޮށްލައިފީމެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެންނީ، ހަމަ، آخرة އަށް كافر ވެގެންވާ ބަޔެކެވެ.

these are allah's signs that we rehearse to you in truth. in what kind of discourse after allah and his signs will they, then, believe?
އެއީ اللَّه ގެ آية ތަކެވެ. حق (ތެދު) ގޮތުގައި ކަލޭގެފާނަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ آية ތައް ކިޔައިދެއްވަމެވެ. ފަހެ، اللَّه ގެ ފޮތާއި، އެކަލާނގެ آية ތަކަށްފަހުގައި، އެއުރެން إيمان ވާނީ ކޮންވާހަކަޔަކަށް ހެއްޔެވެ؟

and when you see them, their forms please you, and if they speak, you listen to their speech. [they are] as if they were pieces of wood propped up - they think that every shout is against them.
އަދި ކަލޭގެފާނަށް އެއުރެން ފެނިވަޑައިގެންފިނަމަ، އެއުރެންގެ ހަށިތައް ކަލޭގެފާނު عجائب ކުރުވަތެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން ވާހަކަ ދައްކާނަމަ، އެއުރެން ދައްކާ ވާހަކަ ކަލޭގެފާނު އައްސަވަމުއެވެ. އެއުރެންނީ (ފާރެއްގައި) ލައްގާފައިވާ ލަކުޑިތަކެއްފަދަ ބަޔެކެވެ. އެއުރެން ހީކުރަނީ، ކޮންމެ ހަޅޭކެއް އެއީ އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް އަންނަ حملة އެއް ކަމުގައެވެ. އެއުރެންނީ، ހަމަ عداوة ތެރިންނެވެ. ފަހެ، ކަލޭގެފާނު އެއުރެންނާމެދު ރައްކާތެރިވެވަޑައިގަންނަވާށެވެ! اللَّه، އެއުރެންނަށް لعنة ލައްވާހުށްޓެވެ. އެއުރެން حق ން އެއްކިބާވަނީ ކޮންފަދައަކުން ހެއްޔެވެ؟

(do you call it "evil omen") because you are admonished? nay, but you are a people musrifun (transgressing all bounds by committing all kinds of great sins, and by disobeying allah).
އެބޭކަލުން ވިދާޅުވޫއެެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ސުންޕާކަންވަނީ ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާ އެކުގައެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަށް (حق ގޮތް) ހަނދާންކޮށްދެވުނަސް (އެއީ، ސުންޕާކަމެއް ކަމުގައި ބަލަނީ) ހެއްޔެވެ؟ އަދި ކިއެއްތަ! ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނީ (كافر ކަމުގައި) ހައްދުފަހަނަޅައިފައިވާ ބަޔެކެވެ.
