i have not been worshipping what you worshipped,
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އަޅުކަންކުޅަ ތަކެއްޗަށް އަޅުކަންކުރާ މީހަކު ކަމުގައި ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނު ނުވަމެވެ.

they said: we found our fathers worshipping them.
އެއުރެން ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. ތިމަންމެންގެ ކާބަފައިން، އެ ތަކެއްޗަށް އަޅުކަންކުރާތީ ތިމަންމެން ދުށީމުއެވެ.

he said, "then do you see what you have been worshipping,
އެއުރެން ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. އަދި ކީއްހެއްޔެވެ؟ ތިމަންމެންގެ ކާބަފައިން އެފަދައިން ކަންތައްކުރާތީ ތިމަންމެން ދުށީމުއެވެ.

he said: "have you considered what you have been worshipping,
އެއުރެން ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. އަދި ކީއްހެއްޔެވެ؟ ތިމަންމެންގެ ކާބަފައިން އެފަދައިން ކަންތައްކުރާތީ ތިމަންމެން ދުށީމުއެވެ.

they replied, "we found our fathers worshipping them".
އެއުރެން ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. ތިމަންމެންގެ ކާބަފައިން، އެ ތަކެއްޗަށް އަޅުކަންކުރާތީ ތިމަންމެން ދުށީމުއެވެ.

"and i shall not worship that which you are worshipping.
އަދި ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އަޅުކަންކުޅަ ތަކެއްޗަށް އަޅުކަންކުރާ މީހަކު ކަމުގައި ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނު ނުވަމެވެ.

he said: "do you observe that which you have been worshipping,
އެއުރެން ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. އަދި ކީއްހެއްޔެވެ؟ ތިމަންމެންގެ ކާބަފައިން އެފަދައިން ކަންތައްކުރާތީ ތިމަންމެން ދުށީމުއެވެ.

gather together the evildoers, their wives, and that they were worshipping,
މިއީ ތިޔަބައިމީހުން އެދުވަހަކާމެދު ދޮގުކޮށް އުޅުނު ނިޔާކުރެއްވުމުގެ ދުވަހެވެ.

abraham said, "have you really thought about what you have been worshipping,
އެއުރެން ދެންނެވޫއެވެ. އަދި ކީއްހެއްޔެވެ؟ ތިމަންމެންގެ ކާބަފައިން އެފަދައިން ކަންތައްކުރާތީ ތިމަންމެން ދުށީމުއެވެ.

indeed, in this [qur'an] is notification for a worshipping people.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އަޅުކަންކުރާ ބަޔަކަށް ފުދޭވަރުގެ އެންގުމެއް، މީގައިވާކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

and go on worshipping your lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you.
އަދި ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހަށް يقين ވެގެންވާ ކަންތައް (އެބަހީ: މަރު) އަތުވެއްޖައުމަށް ދާނދެން، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް އަޅުކަން ކުރައްވާށެވެ!

he is the only lord. why then do you turn away from his worship to the worshipping of idols?
އެއީ اللَّه އެވެ. ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ. (އެކަލާނގެއީ) ހުރިހާ ތަކެއްޗެއް ހެއްދެވި ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ. އެކަލާނގެ މެނުވީ حق ވެގެން އަޅުކަމެއްވެވޭ إله އަކު ނުވެއެވެ. ފަހެ، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން (إيمان ކަމުން) އެއްކިބާވެގަންނަނީ ކޮންފަދައަކުން ހެއްޔެވެ؟

and keep worshipping your lord, till death* comes to you. (* the certainty.)
އަދި ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އަރިހަށް يقين ވެގެންވާ ކަންތައް (އެބަހީ: މަރު) އަތުވެއްޖައުމަށް ދާނދެން، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެއަށް އަޅުކަން ކުރައްވާށެވެ!

by no means! they shall soon deny their worshipping them, and they shall be adversaries to them.
ހަމަހިލާ އެހެންނަކުން ނުވާނެއެވެ. އެ إله ންތަކަށް އެއުރެން އަޅުކަންކުރުމަށް إنكار ކުރާނެތެވެ. އަދި އެ إله ންތައް އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް عداوة ތެރިންކަމުގައި ވާނެތެވެ.

you are our guardian, not they. they had been worshipping the jinn and most of them had strong faith".
އެ ملائكة ން ދަންނަވާނެތެވެ. އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެ ހުސްطاهر ވަންތަކަމާއެވެ! އިބަރަސްކަލާނގެއީ، އަޅަމެންގެ އެހީތެރިވަންތަ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ. އެއުރެންނެއްނޫނެވެ. އަދި ކިއެއްތަ! އެއުރެން އަޅުކަންކުރާ ކަމުގައިވީ ޖިންނީންނަށެވެ. އެއުރެންކުރެ ގިނަމީހުންވަނީ، އެ ޖިންނީންނަށް إيمان ވެގެންނެވެ.

look at your god which you have been worshipping. we will burn it in the fire and scatter its ashes into the sea."
އެކަލޭގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވިއެވެ! ފަހެ، ދާންއުޅޭށެވެ! ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، (ދުނިޔޭގެ) حياة ގައި ކަލެޔަށްއޮތީ (އެއްވެސް މީހެއްގައި) ބީހުމެއްނެތޭ ބުނުމެވެ. އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން (آخرة ގައި) خلاف ނުވެވޭނެ موعد އެއް ކަލެޔަށް ވެއެވެ. އަދި ކަލޭ، އެއަށް އަޅުކަންކުރުންމަތީ ދެމިހުރި، ކަލޭގެ إله އަށް ބަލާށެވެ! ހަމަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންކަލޭގެފާނު އޭތި އަންދައިލައްވާހުށީމެވެ. އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ކަނޑުތެރެޔަށް އޭގެ އަޅިތައް ބުރުއްސައިލައްވާހުށީމެވެ.

and when ibrahim said: my lord! make this city secure, and save me and my sons from worshipping idols:
إبراهيم ގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވި ހިނދު، ހަނދުމަކުރާށެވެ! އަޅުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޮ! މި ރަށަކީ، أمان ވެގެންވާ ރަށެއްކަމުގައި ލައްވާނދޭވެ! އަދި އަޅާއާއި، އަޅުގެ ދަރިން ބުދަށް އަޅުކަންކުރުމުން ދުރުކުރައްވާނދޭވެ!

and recall what time ibrahim said: my lord! make this city secure and keep me and my sons away from worshipping the idols.
إبراهيم ގެފާނު ވިދާޅުވި ހިނދު، ހަނދުމަކުރާށެވެ! އަޅުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާކޮ! މި ރަށަކީ، أمان ވެގެންވާ ރަށެއްކަމުގައި ލައްވާނދޭވެ! އަދި އަޅާއާއި، އަޅުގެ ދަރިން ބުދަށް އަޅުކަންކުރުމުން ދުރުކުރައްވާނދޭވެ!

and when men are gathered together they shall be their enemies, and shall be deniers of their worshipping (them).
އަދި މީސްތަކުން (قيامة ދުވަހުން) އެއްކުރައްވާހިނދު އެއުރެންނަށް، އެ ބުދުތައް عداوة ތެރިންކަމުގައި ވާނެތެވެ. އަދި އެތަކެއްޗަށް އަޅުކަންކުރި ކަމާމެދު إنكار ކުރާ ތަކެތި ކަމުގައި އެތަކެތި ވާނެތެވެ.

allah's witness suffices between you and us that (even if you worshipped us) we were totally unaware of your worshipping us.
ފަހެ، ތިމަންމެންނާއި، ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނާ ދެމެދުގައި ހެތްކަކަށް اللَّه ފުދެއެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިޔަބައިމީހުން ކުޅަ އަޅުކަމުން ތިމަންމެންވަނީ غافل ވެގެންނެވެ.
