but only the desire to seek for the countenance of their lord most high;
بلکہ اپنے خداوند اعلیٰ کی رضامندی حاصل کرنے کے لیے دیتا ہے

except only the desire to seek the countenance of his lord, the most high;
بلکہ اپنے خداوند اعلیٰ کی رضامندی حاصل کرنے کے لیے دیتا ہے

and there will remain the countenance of thine lord, owner of majesty and beneficence.
اور آپ کے رب ہی کی ذات باقی رہے گی جو صاحبِ عظمت و جلال اور صاحبِ انعام و اکرام ہے،

and that: keep thy countenance straight toward the religion, upright; and by no means be of the associators.
اور آپ اپنا رخ بالکل دین کی طرف رکھیں. باطل سے الگ رہیں اور ہرگز مشرکین کی جماعت میں شمار نہ ہوں

[saying], "we feed you only for the countenance of allah. we wish not from you reward or gratitude.
(اور اُن سے کہتے ہیں کہ) ہم تمہیں صرف اللہ کی خاطر کھلا رہے ہیں، ہم تم سے نہ کوئی بدلہ چاہتے ہیں نہ شکریہ

(saying): "we feed you seeking allah's countenance only. we wish for no reward, nor thanks from you.
(اور اُن سے کہتے ہیں کہ) ہم تمہیں صرف اللہ کی خاطر کھلا رہے ہیں، ہم تم سے نہ کوئی بدلہ چاہتے ہیں نہ شکریہ

and countenances on that day shall be scowling.
اور بعض چہرے افسردہ ہوں گے
