and while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
ܘܟܕ ܐܙܠ ܠܡܙܒܢ ܐܬܐ ܚܬܢܐ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܛܝܒܢ ܗܘܝ ܥܠ ܥܡܗ ܠܒܝܬ ܚܠܘܠܐ ܘܐܬܬܚܕ ܬܪܥܐ

and jesus said unto them, can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܠܡܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܒܢܘܗܝ ܕܓܢܘܢܐ ܟܡܐ ܕܚܬܢܐ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܗܘ ܕܢܨܘܡܘܢ ܠܐ

and jesus said unto them, can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܕܠܡܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܒܢܘܗܝ ܕܓܢܘܢܐ ܠܡܨܡ ܟܡܐ ܕܚܬܢܐ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܐܬܝܢ ܕܝܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܟܕ ܢܫܬܩܠ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܚܬܢܐ ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܨܘܡܘܢ

and the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
ܘܢܘܗܪܐ ܕܫܪܓܐ ܠܐ ܢܬܚܙܐ ܠܟܝ ܬܘܒ ܘܩܠܐ ܕܚܬܢܐ ܘܩܠܐ ܕܟܠܬܐ ܠܐ ܢܫܬܡܥ ܒܟܝ ܬܘܒ ܡܛܠ ܕܬܓܪܝܟܝ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܘ ܪܘܪܒܢܝܗ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܚܪܫܝܟܝ ܐܛܥܝܬܝ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܡܐ
