and he said unto them, is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܕܠܡܐ ܐܬܐ ܫܪܓܐ ܕܬܚܝܬ ܤܐܬܐ ܢܬܬܤܝܡ ܐܘ ܬܚܝܬ ܥܪܤܐ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܕܥܠ ܡܢܪܬܐ ܢܬܬܤܝܡ

for there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.
ܡܫܟܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܕܐܬܥܒܕ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܗ ܡܢܪܬܐ ܘܦܬܘܪܐ ܘܠܚv ܐܦܐ ܘܡܬܩܪܐ ܗܘܐ ܒܝܬ ܩܘܕܫܐ

no man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
ܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܗܪ ܫܪܓܐ ܘܡܚܦܐ ܠܗ ܒܡܐܢܐ ܐܘ ܤܐܡ ܠܗ ܬܚܝܬ ܥܪܤܐ ܐܠܐ ܤܐܡ ܠܗ ܠܥܠ ܡܢ ܡܢܪܬܐ ܕܟܠ ܕܥܐܠ ܢܚܙܐ ܢܘܗܪܗ

remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else i will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
ܐܬܕܟܪ ܡܢ ܐܝܟܐ ܢܦܩܬ ܘܥܒܕ ܥܒܕܐ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܘܐܢܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܐܬܐ ܐܢܐ ܥܠܝܟ ܘܡܙܝܥ ܐܢܐ ܡܢܪܬܟ ܐܠܐ ܬܬܘܒ

and i turned to see the voice that spake with me. and being turned, i saw seven golden candlesticks;
ܘܗܦܟܬ ܠܡܕܥ ܩܠܐ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܡܠܠ ܥܡܝ ܘܟܕ ܥܛܦܬ ܚܙܝܬ ܫܒܥ ܡܢܪܢ ܕܕܗܒܐ
