ܘܐܢ ܩܪܢܐ ܬܩܪܐ ܩܠܐ ܕܠܐ ܦܪܝܫ ܡܢܘ ܢܬܛܝܒ ܠܩܪܒܐ

i was in the spirit on the lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
ܘܗܘܝܬ ܒܪܘܚ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܚܕܒܫܒܐ ܘܫܡܥܬ ܡܢ ܒܤܬܪܝ ܩܠܐ ܪܒܐ ܐܝܟ ܫܝܦܘܪܐ

and he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
ܘܢܫܕܪ ܡܠܐܟܘܗܝ ܥܡ ܫܝܦܘܪܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܢܟܢܫܘܢ ܠܓܒܝܐ ܕܝܠܗ ܡܢ ܐܪܒܥܬ ܪܘܚܐ ܡܢ ܪܫܗܘܢ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܪܫܗܘܢ

and the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
ܘܠܐ ܠܩܠܐ ܕܩܪܢܐ ܘܠܩܠܐ ܕܡܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܗܢܘܢ ܕܫܡܥܘܗܝ ܐܫܬܐܠܘ ܕܠܐ ܢܬܬܘܤܦ ܢܬܡܠܠ ܥܡܗܘܢ

in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
ܚܪܝܦܐܝܬ ܐܝܟ ܪܦܦ ܥܝܢܐ ܒܩܪܢܐ ܐܚܪܝܬܐ ܟܕ ܬܩܪܐ ܘܢܩܘܡܘܢ ܡܝܬܐ ܕܠܐ ܚܒܠܐ ܘܚܢܢ ܢܬܚܠܦ

therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. verily i say unto you, they have their reward.
ܐܡܬܝ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܥܒܕ ܐܢܬ ܙܕܩܬܐ ܠܐ ܬܩܪܐ ܩܪܢܐ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܐܝܟ ܕܥܒܕܝܢ ܢܤܒܝ ܒܐܦܐ ܒܟܢܘܫܬܐ ܘܒܫܘܩܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܢܫܬܒܚܘܢ ܡܢ ܒܢܝ ܐܢܫܐ ܘܐܡܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܩܒܠܘ ܐܓܪܗܘܢ

after this i looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which i heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, come up hither, and i will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
