Ва Лутро паёмбарӣ додем. Ба қавми худ гуфт: «Шумо коре зиштро пеша кардаед, ки ҳеҷ як аз мардуми ҷаҳон пеш аз шумо чунин намекардааст.

Ва Лутро фиристодем. Он гоҳ ба қавми худ гуфт: «Чаро коре зишт мекунед, ки ҳеҷ кас аз мардуми Ҷаҳон пеш аз шумо накардааст?

they said, "then bring him here in the sight of all the people, so that they may act as witnesses."
Гуфтанд: «Ӯро ба назди мардум биёваред то шоҳидӣ диҳанд».

Рӯзе, ки Худо паёмбаронро гирд орад ва бипурсад, ки даъвати шуморо чӣ гуна посӯх доданд?

you tell them: "in all the commands revealed to me i find nothing which men have been forbidden to eat except carrion and running blood and flesh of the swine for it is unclean, or meat consecrated in the name of some other than god, which is profane.
Бигӯ: «Дар миёни он чӣ бар ман ваҳй шудааст, чизеро, ки хӯрдани он ҳаром бошад, намеёбам ҷуз мурдор ё хуни рехта, ё гӯшти хук, ки палид аст ё ҳайвоне, ки дар куштанаш аз ҷиҳати нофармонӣ кардан, бе гуфтани номи Оллоҳ забҳаш кунанд».

say to them: “did you even consider: if all the water that you have (in the wells) were to sink down into the depths of the earth, who will produce for you clear, flowing water?”
Бигӯ: «Хабар диҳед, агар обатон дар замин фурӯ равад, чӣ касе шуморо оби равон хоҳад дод?»

(lawful to you in marriage) are chaste women from the believers and chaste women from those who were given the scripture (jews and christians) before your time, when you have given their due mahr (bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage), desiring chastity (i.e. taking them in legal wedlock) not committing illegal sexual intercourse, nor taking them as girl-friends. and whosoever disbelieves in the oneness of allah and in all the other articles of faith [i.e. his (allah's), angels, his holy books, his messengers, the day of resurrection and al-qadar (divine preordainments)], then fruitless is his work, and in the hereafter he will be among the losers.
