உங்களில் (அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் உறுதியாகப்) போர் புரிபவர்கள் யார் என்றும், (அக்காலை) பொறுமையைக் கடைப்பிடிப்பவர்கள் யார் என்றும் அல்லாஹ் (பரிசோதித்து) அறியாமல் நீங்கள் சுவனபதியில் நுழைந்து விடலாம் என்று எண்ணிக் கொண்டு இருக்கின்றீர்களா?

(i swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks
மூச்சுத்திணற விரைந்து ஓடுபவற்றின் (குதிரைகள்) மீது சத்தியமாக-

they said, “we possess great strength and are great warriors, and the decision is yours, therefore consider what you will command.”
"நாங்கள் பெரும் பலசாலிகளாகவும், கடினமாக போர் செய்யக்கூடியவர்களாகவும் இருக்கிறோம்; (ஆயினும்) முடிவு உங்களைப் பொறுத்தது, என்ன முடிவு எடுக்கிறீர்கள் என்பதை சிந்தித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்" என்று அவர்கள் சொன்னார்கள்.
