it is he who has made you caliphs in the earth and raised some of you in rank above others, so that he might try you in what he has given you. swift is your lord in retribution; yet he is forgiving, merciful.
அவன் தான் உங்களைப் பூமியில் பின்தோன்றல்களாக ஆக்கினான்; அவன் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்துள்ளவற்றில் உங்களைச் சோதிப்பதற்காக, உங்களில் சிலரைச் சிலரைவிடப் பதவிகளில் உயர்த்தினான் - நிச்சயமாக உம் இறைவன் தண்டிப்பதில் விரைவானவன். மேலும் அவன் நிச்சயமாக மன்னிப்பவன்; மிக்க கருணையுடயவன்.

the adulteress and the adulterer: scourge each one of the twain with a hundred stripes. and let not tenderness rake hold of you in regarad to the twain in the law of allah, if ye have come to believe in allah and the last day. and let witness this torment a band of the believers.

for he it is who has appointed you vicegerent over the earth, and has exalted some of you over others in rank that he may try you in what he has bestowed is upon you. indeed your lord is swift in retribution, and he is certainly allforgiving, all-compassionate.
அவன் தான் உங்களைப் பூமியில் பின்தோன்றல்களாக ஆக்கினான்; அவன் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்துள்ளவற்றில் உங்களைச் சோதிப்பதற்காக, உங்களில் சிலரைச் சிலரைவிடப் பதவிகளில் உயர்த்தினான் - நிச்சயமாக உம் இறைவன் தண்டிப்பதில் விரைவானவன். மேலும் அவன் நிச்சயமாக மன்னிப்பவன்; மிக்க கருணையுடயவன்.

"o my sons! do not all of you enter [the city] by one gate; enter by separate gates. i cannot help you in any way against god; judgement is his alone. in him i have put my trust. in him let the faithful put their trust."
(பின்னும்) அவர், "என் (அருமை) மக்களே! நீங்கள் (மிஸ்ருக்குள்) ஒரே வாசல் வழியாக நுழையாதீர்கள்; வெள; வேறு வாசல்களின் வழியாக நுழையுங்கள்; அல்லாஹ்வின் விதிகளில் யாதொன்றையும் நான் உங்களை விட்டுத்தடுத்து விட முடியாது (ஏனென்றால்) அதிகாரமெல்லாம் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கேயன்றி (வேறு எவருக்கும்) இல்லை அவன் மீதே நான் முழமையாக நம்பிக்கை கொண்டுள்ளேன். எனவே, முழமையாக நம்பிக்கை வைப்பவர்கள் அவன் மீதே முழு நம்பிக்கைவைப்பார்களாக!" என்று கூறினார்.
