ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் (கலிமா தையிபா எனும்) பரிசத்தமான சொல்லின் பக்கம் (இம்மையில்) வழிகாட்டப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்; இன்னும் புகழுக்குரிய (இறை)வனின் பாதையின் பக்கமும் அவர்கள் செலுத்தப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்.

and they are guided to goodly words and they are guided into the path of the praised one.
ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் (கலிமா தையிபா எனும்) பரிசத்தமான சொல்லின் பக்கம் (இம்மையில்) வழிகாட்டப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்; இன்னும் புகழுக்குரிய (இறை)வனின் பாதையின் பக்கமும் அவர்கள் செலுத்தப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்.

to god belongs everything in the heavens and the earth. god is the rich, the praised.
வானங்களிலுள்ளவையும், பூமியிலுள்ளவையும் (யாவும்) அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியன. நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ் (எவரிடமும்) தேவையற்றவன்; புகழப்படுபவன்.

and their revenge on them was only because they believed in allah, the almighty, the praised,
(யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனும், புகழுடையோனுமாகிய அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது அவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டார்கள் என்பதற்காக அன்றி வேறெதற்கும் அவர்களைப் பழி வாங்கவில்லை.

and they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in allah, the mighty, the praised,
(யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனும், புகழுடையோனுமாகிய அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது அவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டார்கள் என்பதற்காக அன்றி வேறெதற்கும் அவர்களைப் பழி வாங்கவில்லை.

and moses said: 'if you and all mankind are thankless, he is surely rich, praised'
மேலும் மூஸா (தம் சமூகத்தாரிடம்) "நீங்களும், பூமியிலுள்ள அனைவரும் சேர்ந்து மாறு செய்த போதிலும், (அவனுக்கு யாதொரு நஷ்டமும் ஏற்படாது) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தேவையற்றோனும், புகழுடையோனுமாக இருக்கின்றான்" என்றும் கூறினார்.

and some part of the night awake for it, a largess for thee. it may be that thy lord will raise thee to a praised estate.
இன்னும் இரவில் (ஒரு சிறு) பகுதியில் உமக்கு உபரியான தஹஜ்ஜத் தொழுகையைத் தொழுது வருவீராக (இதன் பாக்கியத்தினால்) உம்முடைய இறைவன், 'மகாமம் மஹ்முதா' என்னும் (புகழ் பெற்ற) தலத்தில் உம்மை எழுப்பப் போதும்.

those to whom the knowledge has been given can see that what has been sent down to you from your lord is the truth, guiding to the path of the almighty, the praised.
எவர்களுக்குக் கல்வி ஞானம் அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதோ, அவர்கள் உமக்கு உம்முடைய - இறைவனிடமிருந்து அருளப்பெற்ற (இவ்வேதத்)தை உண்மை என்பதையும், அது வல்லமை மிக்க, புகழுக்குரியவ(னான நாய)னின் நேர்வழியில் சேர்க்கிறது என்பதையும் காண்கிறார்கள்.

and he it is who sends down the rain after they have despaired, and he unfolds his mercy; and he is the guardian, the praised one.
அவர்கள் நிராசையான பின்னர் மறையை இறக்கி வைப்பவன் அவனே மேலும் அவன் தன் ரஹ்மத்தை (அருளை)ப் பரப்புகிறான்; இன்னும் அவனே புகழுக்குரிய பாதுகாவலன்.

and of the night--keep the vigil therein, as an act of supererogation for thee; belike thy lord will raise thee up in a station praised.
இன்னும் இரவில் (ஒரு சிறு) பகுதியில் உமக்கு உபரியான தஹஜ்ஜத் தொழுகையைத் தொழுது வருவீராக (இதன் பாக்கியத்தினால்) உம்முடைய இறைவன், 'மகாமம் மஹ்முதா' என்னும் (புகழ் பெற்ற) தலத்தில் உம்மை எழுப்பப் போதும்.

and musa said: if you are ungrateful, you and those on earth all together, most surely allah is self-sufficient, praised;
மேலும் மூஸா (தம் சமூகத்தாரிடம்) "நீங்களும், பூமியிலுள்ள அனைவரும் சேர்ந்து மாறு செய்த போதிலும், (அவனுக்கு யாதொரு நஷ்டமும் ஏற்படாது) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தேவையற்றோனும், புகழுடையோனுமாக இருக்கின்றான்" என்றும் கூறினார்.

do not think that those who rejoice in what they have done, and love to be praised for what they have not done—do not think they can evade the punishment. they will have a painful punishment.
எவர் தாம் செய்த (சொற்பமான)தைப்பற்றி மகிழ்ச்சி கொண்டும்; தாம் செய்யாததை (செய்ததாகக் காட்டிக்) கொண்டு புகழ்படவேண்டும் என்று விருப்புகிறார்களோ, அவர்கள் வேதனையிலிருந்து வெற்றியடைந்து விட்டார்கள் என்று (நபியே!) நீர் ஒரு போதும் எண்ணாதீர் - அவர்களுக்கு நோவினை தரும் வேதனையுண்டு.

but when he reached it, a voice called out: "blessed is he who is in the fire and all around it. praised be god, the lord of all the worlds.
அவர் அதனிடம் வந்த போது "நெருப்பில் இருப்பவர் மீதும், அதனைச் சூழ்ந்திருப்பவர் மீதும் பெரும் பாக்கயம் அளிக்கப் பெற்றுள்ளது மேலும் அகிலங்களுக்கெல்லாம் இறைவனாகிய அல்லாஹ் மிகவும் பரிசுத்தமானவன்" என்று அழைக்கப்பட்டார்.

aliflaamra. we have sent down to you (this book) in order that you bring mankind from darkness to the light by the permission of your lord, to the path of the almighty, the praised.
அலிஃப், லாம், றா. (நபியே! இது) வேதமாகும்; மனிதர்களை அவர்களுடைய இறைவனின் அனுமதியைக் கொண்டு இருள்களிலிருந்து வெளியேற்றிப் பிரகாசத்தின் பால் நீர் கொண்டுவருவதற்காக இ(வ் வேதத்)தை நாமே உம்மீது இறக்கியிருக்கின்றோம்; புகழுக்குரியவனும், வல்லமை மிக்கோனுமாகிய (அல்லாஹ்வின்) பாதையில் (அவர்களை நீர் கொண்டுவருவீராக!).

alif lam ra. (this is) a book which we have revealed to you that you may bring forth men, by their lord's permission from utter darkness into light-- to the way of the mighty, the praised one,
அலிஃப், லாம், றா. (நபியே! இது) வேதமாகும்; மனிதர்களை அவர்களுடைய இறைவனின் அனுமதியைக் கொண்டு இருள்களிலிருந்து வெளியேற்றிப் பிரகாசத்தின் பால் நீர் கொண்டுவருவதற்காக இ(வ் வேதத்)தை நாமே உம்மீது இறக்கியிருக்கின்றோம்; புகழுக்குரியவனும், வல்லமை மிக்கோனுமாகிய (அல்லாஹ்வின்) பாதையில் (அவர்களை நீர் கொண்டுவருவீராக!).
