அவர்கள் (எத்தகையோரென்றால்) தொழுகையை நிலை நாட்டுவார்கள்; ஜகாத்தும் கொடுத்து வருவார்கள்; இன்னும் அவர்கள் ஆகிரத்தை (மறுமையை) உறுதியாக நம்புவார்கள்.

ஆயினும் அவர்கள் தவ்பா செய்து (மனந்திருந்தி தம் தவறுகளிலிருந்து விலகி) தொழுகையைக் கடைப்படித்து, ஜகாத்தையும் (முறையாக) கொடுத்து வருவார்களானால், அவர்கள் உங்களுக்கு மார்க்கச் சதோதரர்களே நாம் அறிவுள்ள சமூகத்தினருக்கு (நம்) வசனங்களை விளக்குகிறோம்.

and we wished to be gracious to those who were being depressed in the land, to make them leaders (in faith) and make them heirs,
ஆயினும் (மிஸ்று) பூமியில் பலஹீனப் படுத்தப்பட்டோருக்கு நாம் உபகாரம் செய்யவும், அவர்களைத் தலைவர்களாக்கிவிடவும் அவர்களை (நாட்டுக்கு) வாரிசகளாக்கவும் நாடினோம்.

abraham was indeed a model, devoutly obedient to allah, (and) true in faith, and he joined not gods with allah:
நிச்சயமாக இப்றாஹீம் ஒரு வழிகாட்டியாகவும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அடிபணிந்தவராகவும் (நேரான பாதையில்) சார்ந்தவராகவும் இருந்தார் மேலும், அவர் முஷ்ரிக்குகளில் (இணை வைப்போரில்) ஒருவராக இருக்கவில்லை.

indeed the believers are those whose hearts quake at the mention of allah, and when his verses are recited to them it increased them in faith. they are those who put their trust in their lord.
உண்மையான முஃமின்கள் யார் என்றால், அல்லாஹ்(வின் திருநாமம் அவர்கள் முன்) கூறப்பட்டால், அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்கள் பயந்து நடுங்கிவிடும்; அவனுடைய வசனங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு ஓதிக்காண்பிக்கப்பட்டால் அவர்களுடைய ஈமான் (பின்னும்) அதிகரிக்கும்; இன்னும் தன் இறைவன் மீது அவர்கள் முற்றிலும் நம்பிக்கை வைப்பார்கள்.

o men, eat only the things of the earth that are lawful and good. do not walk in the footsteps of satan, your acknowledged enemy.
மனிதர்களே! பூமியிலுள்ள பொருட்களில், அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டவற்றையும், பரிசுத்தமானவற்றையும் உண்ணுங்கள்;. ஷைத்தானின் அடிச்சுவடுகளை பின்பற்றாதீர்கள் - நிச்சயமாக அவன் உங்களுக்கு பகிரங்கமான பகைவனாவான்.

and whenever a surah s sent down, there are some of them who say which of you hath this increased in faith! as for those who believe, it hath increased them in faith, and they rejoice.
ஏதேனும் ஓர் அத்தியாயம் இறக்கப்பட்டால், "இது உங்களில் யாருடைய ஈமானை (நம்பிக்கையை) அதிகப்படுத்தி விட்டது?" என்று கேட்பவர்களும் அவர்களில் இருக்கின்றனர்; யார் ஈமான் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களுடைய நம்பிக்கையை இது (மெய்யாகவே) அதிகப்படுத்திவிட்டது இன்னும் அவர்கள் (இது குறித்து) மகிழ்ச்சி அடைகிறார்கள்.

"and turn not your face away from men with pride, nor walk in insolence through the earth. verily, allah likes not each arrogant boaster.
"(பெருமையோடு) உன் முகத்தை மனிதர்களை விட்டும் திருப்பிக் கொள்ளாதே! பூமியில் பெருமையாகவும் நடக்காதே! அகப்பெருமைக்காரர், ஆணவங் கொண்டோர் எவரையும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நேசிக்க மாட்டான்.

and those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - we will join with them their descendants, and we will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. every person, for what he earned, is retained.
எவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டு, அவர்களுடைய சந்ததியாரும் ஈமானில் அவர்களைப் பின் தொடர்கிறார்களோ, அவர்களுடைய அந்த சந்ததியனரை அவர்களுடன் (சுவனத்தில் ஒன்று) சேர்த்து விடுவோம். (இதனால்) அவர்களுடைய செயல்களில் எந்த ஒன்றையும், நாம் அவர்களுக்குக் குறைத்து விட மாட்டோம் - ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனும் தான் சம்பாதித்த செயல்களுக்குப் பிணையாக இருக்கின்றான்.

and when the believers saw the companies, they said, "this is what allah and his messenger had promised us, and allah and his messenger spoke the truth." and it increased them only in faith and acceptance.
அன்றியும், முஃமின்கள் எதிரிகளின் கூட்டுப் படைகளைக் கண்டபோது, "இது தான், அல்லாஹ்வும் அவனுடைய தூதரும் எங்களுக்கு வாக்களித்தது அல்லாஹ்வும் அவனுடைய தூதரும் உண்மையே உரைத்தார்கள்" என்று கூறினார்கள். இன்னும் அது அவர்களுடைய ஈமானையும், (இறைவனுக்கு) முற்றிலும் வழிபடுவதையும் அதிகப்படுத்தாமல் இல்லை.
