god belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. god will call you to account for all that you may reveal from your souls and all that you may conceal. god will forgive or punish whomever he wants. god has power over all things.

let the faithless not suppose that the respite that we grant them is good for their souls: we give them respite only that they may increase in sin, and there is a humiliating punishment for them.

இன்னும் தொழுகையை முறையாகக் கடைப்பிடித்தும்; ஜகாத் கொடுத்தும் வாருங்கள்; ஏனெனில் உங்களுக்காக எந்த நன்மையை முன்னமேயே அனுப்பி வைக்கின்றீர்களோ, அதை அல்லாஹ்விடம் பெற்றுக்கொள்வீர்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்பவற்றையெல்லாம் உற்று நோக்கியவனாகவே இருக்கிறான்.

fighting is ordained for you, even though you dislike it. but it may be that you dislike something while it is good for you, and it may be that you like something while it is bad for you. god knows, and you do not know.

அல்லாஹ் தன் அருளினால் தங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்திருக்கும் பொருட்களில் யார் உலோபத்தனம் செய்கிறார்களோ அது தமக்கு நல்லது என்று (அவர்கள்) நிச்சயமாக எண்ண வேண்டாம் - அவ்வாறன்று! அது அவர்களுக்குத் தீங்குதான்;. அவர்கள் உலோபத்தனத்தால் சேர்த்து வைத்த (பொருட்கள்) எல்லாம் மறுமையில் அவர்கள் கழுத்தில் அரிகண்டமாக போடப்படும்;. வானங்கள், பூமி ஆகியவற்றில் (இருக்கும் அனைத்துக்கும்) அனந்தர பாத்தியதை அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியதாகும். அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்பவற்றையெல்லாம் அறிகிறான்.

and they brought his shirt with false blood upon it. he said: nay, your souls have made the matter light for you, but patience is good and allah is he whose help is sought for against what you describe.

(offensive) fighting is obligatory for you, though it is hateful to you. but you may hate a thing although it is good for you, and may love a thing although it is evil for you. allah knows, and you do not.

all that. whoever venerates the sanctities of god—it is good for him with his lord. all livestock are permitted to you, except what is recited to you. so stay away from the abomination of idols, and stay away from perjury.
