นรกญะฮันนัมที่มีเปลวไฟร้อนจัดของมัน และมันเป็นที่พำนักอันชั่วช้า

or increase thereto. and intone the qur'an with a measured intontion. s
หรือมากกว่านั้น และจงอ่านอัลกุรอานช้า ๆ เป็นจังหวะ (ชัดถ้อยชัดคำ)

and even if we opened to them a gate from the heaven and they were to continue ascending thereto,
และหาเราเปิดประตูแห่งชั้นฟ้าแก่พวกเขา แล้วพวกเขาจะขึ้นต่อไปเรื่อยๆ

or add (a little) thereto - and chant the qur'an in measure,
หรือมากกว่านั้น และจงอ่านอัลกุรอานช้า ๆ เป็นจังหวะ (ชัดถ้อยชัดคำ)

and propound thou unto them the similitude of the inhabitants of a town, when there came thereto the sent ones;
และจงเล่าเรื่องชาวเมือง (อันฏอกียะฮฺ) แก่พวกเขา เมื่อมีทูตหลายคนมายังเมืองนั้น

and of those whom we have created there is a community guiding others with truth and acting justly according thereto.
“และส่วนหนึ่งจากผู้ที่เราได้บังเกิดนั้นคือ คณะหนึ่ง ซึ่งพวกเขาแนะนำ ด้วยความจริง และด้วยความจริงนั้น พวกเขาปฏิบัติ โดยเที่ยงธรรม”

so when the qur'an is recited, listen thereto and keep silence, haply ye may be shewn mercy.
“และเมื่ออัล-กุรอานถูกอ่านขึ้น ก็จงสดับฟังอัล-กุรอานนั้นเถิด และจงนิ่งเงียบ เพื่อว่าพวกเจ้าจะได้รับการเอ็นดูเมตตา”

should they find a refuge, or caves, or a place of concealment, they would turn straightway thereto with a swift rush.
“หากพวกเขาพบที่พักพิง หรือบรรดาถ้ำหรืออุโมง แน่นอนพวกเขาจะหันไปหามัน โดยที่พวกเขาจะไปอย่างรีบด่วน ”

and afterward he maketh you return thereto, and he will bring you forth again, a (new) forthbringing.
แล้วจะทรงให้พวกท่านกลับคืนสู่ในแผ่นดิน และจะทรงให้พวกท่านออกมาอีกเพื่อคืนชีพ

and whosoever bringeth the truth, and whosoever giveth credence thereto - these! they are the god-fearing.
ส่วนผู้ที่นำความจริงมา และเขาได้เชื่อมั่นความจริงนั้น ชนเหล่านี้ พวกเขาคือบรรดาผู้ยำเกรง

he knoweth whatsoever penetrateth into the earth and whatsoever cometh forth therefrom and whatsoever descendeth from the heaven and whatsoever ascendeth thereto. and he is the merciful, the forgiving.
พระองค์ทรงรอบรู้ถึงสิ่งที่เข้าไปอยู่ในแผ่นดิน และสิ่งที่ออกมาจากมัน และสิ่งที่ลงมาจากฟากฟ้า และสิ่งที่ขึ้นไปสู่ในนั้น และพระองค์เป็นผู้ทรงเมตตา ผู้ทรงอภัยเสมอ

neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
เจ้าอย่าสมสู่กับสัตว์เดียรัจฉาน กระทำตนให้ลามกอนาจาร หรืออย่าให้หญิงคนใดยอมตัวสมสู่กับสัตว์เดียรัจฉาน ดังนี้เป็นเรื่องกามวิปลา

and that those who have been vouchsafed knowledge may know that it is the truth from thy lord and may believe therein, and so their hearts may submit thereto. and verily allah is the guide of those who believe unto a path straight.
และเพื่อบรรดาผู้รู้จะตระหนักว่า แท้จริงอัลกุรอาน นั้นคือสัจธรรมจากพระเจ้าของเจ้า เพื่อพวกเขาจะได้ศรัทธาต่อมัน (อัลกุรอาน) แล้วจิตใจของพวกเขาจะได้นอบน้อมต่อมัน (อัลกุรอาน) และแท้จริงอัลลอฮ์ทรงเเป็นผู้ชี้แนะบรรดาผู้ศรัทธาสู่แนวทางอันเที่ยงตรง

and it is in order that the; hearts of those who believe not in the hereafter might incline thereto, and that they might be pleased therewith, and that they might do that whereof they are the doers.
และเพื่อที่หัวใจของบรรดาผู้ที่ไม่ศรัทธาต่อปรโลกจะได้โน้มเอียงไปสู่คำพูดที่ตกแต่งนั้นและเพื่อที่พวกเขาจะได้พึงพอใจในคำพูด นั้น และเพื่อที่พวกเขาจะได้กระทำในสิ่งที่พวกเขาเป็นผู้กระทำกันอยู่

he knows all that goes into the earth, and all that comes out thereof; all that comes down from the sky and all that ascends thereto and he is the most merciful, the oft-forgiving.
พระองค์ทรงรอบรู้ถึงสิ่งที่เข้าไปอยู่ในแผ่นดิน และสิ่งที่ออกมาจากมัน และสิ่งที่ลงมาจากฟากฟ้า และสิ่งที่ขึ้นไปสู่ในนั้น และพระองค์เป็นผู้ทรงเมตตา ผู้ทรงอภัยเสมอ

and assuredly we vouchsafed unto musa the book, and difference arose concerning it; and had not a word gone forth from thy lord, the affair would have been decreed between them. and verily they are in regard thereto in doubt and dubitating.
และโดยแน่นอน เราได้ประทานคัมภีร์ แต่ได้เกิดมีการขัดแย้งกันขึ้นในนั้น และมาตรฐานว่าคำกล่าวหนึ่งจากพระเจ้าของเจ้ามิได้ถูกบันทึกไว้ก่อนแล้ว ก็คงจะถูกตัดสินระหว่างพวกเขาอย่างแน่นอน และแท้จริงพวกเขานั้นอยู่ในการคลางแคลงสงสัยจากในคัมภีร์นั้น
