this unit is the result of the enthusiasm that many have placed on the treatment of disc pathology, some times spread out between confused diagnosis and different specialities; and it is inspired in a pioneer unit within europe (the european institute of neurosurgery –euni-), directed by the neurosurgeon alberto alexandre, from treviso (italy), and by the unit of seville directed by the neurosurgerons, dr. h. salgado y dr. albarreal. in the last years we have acquired and shared the necessary experience to arrive to the equilibrated point between enthusiasm and efficiency that all new technique should have. finally, we see with much interest how new treatment units are being created, specially of ozonetherapy, being our unique worry that and incorrect application of the technique leads to its lack of prestige.
