and who does greater evil than he who is reminded of the signs of his lord, then turns away from them?

na kutoka kwa wale walio sema: sisi ni manasara, tulichukua ahadi yao, lakini wakasahau sehemu ya waliyo kumbushwa.
also from those who say, ‘we are christians,’ we took their pledge; but they forgot a part of what they were reminded.

basi walipo yasahau waliyo kumbushwa, tuliwaokoa walio kuwa wakikataza maovu, na tukawatesa walio dhulumu kwa adhabu mbaya kwa vile walivyo kuwa wakifanya upotovu.
and when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, we saved those who had forbidden evil and seized those who wronged, with a wretched punishment, because they were defiantly disobeying.
