and there were certain greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
በበዓሉም ሊሰግዱ ከወጡት አንዳንዶቹ የግሪክ ሰዎች ነበሩ፤

but there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
ከጻፎችም አንዳንዶቹ በዚያ ተቀምጠው ነበር በልባቸውም። ይህ ሰው ስለ ምን እንደዚህ ያለ ስድብ ይናገራል?

but there were certain men of mankind who would take refuge with certain men of the jinn , and they increased them in vileness ,
‹ እነሆም ከሰዎች የኾኑ ወንዶች በጋኔን ወንዶች ይጠበቁ ነበሩ ፡ ፡ ኩራትንም ጨመሩዋቸው ፡ ፡ ›

but there were certain men from mankind who would take refuge with certain males from the jinn and they increased them in tyranny .
‹ እነሆም ከሰዎች የኾኑ ወንዶች በጋኔን ወንዶች ይጠበቁ ነበሩ ፡ ፡ ኩራትንም ጨመሩዋቸው ፡ ፡ ›

( with regard to the number of the youths ) some say , " there were three and the dog was the fourth one , " others say , " there were five and the dog was the sixth one . " in reality , they are just feeling around in the dark .
በሩቅ ወርዋሪዎች ሆነው ( በጥርጣሬ ) « ሦስት ናቸው ፤ አራተኛቸው ውሻቸው ነው » ይላሉ ፡ ፡ « አምስት ናቸው ፤ ስድስተኛቸው ውሻቸው ነውም » ይላሉ ፡ ፡ « ሰባት ናቸው ፤ ስምንተኛቸውም ውሻቸው ነው » ይላሉም ፡ ፡ « ጌታዬ ቁጥራቸውን ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡ ጥቂት ( ሰው ) እንጂ አያውቃቸውም » በላቸው ፡ ፡ በእነሱም ነገር ግልጽን ክርክር እንጂ ( ጠልቀህ ) አትከራከር ፡ ፡ በእነሱም ጉዳይ ከነሱ ( ከመጽሐፉ ሰዎች ) አንድንም አትጠይቅ ፡ ፡

they will say there were three , the fourth of them being their dog ; and they will say there were five , the sixth of them being their dog - guessing at the unseen ; and they will say there were seven , and the eighth of them was their dog . say , [ o muhammad ] , " my lord is most knowing of their number .
