« በዚያ እዚህ ባለው ( ጸጋ ) ውስጥ የረካችሁ ኾናችሁ ትተዋላችሁን

" do you think that you will remain here peacefully forever
« በዚያ እዚህ ባለው ( ጸጋ ) ውስጥ የረካችሁ ኾናችሁ ትተዋላችሁን

do you think we created you for nothing , and that you will not return to us ? "
« የፈጠርናችሁ ለከንቱ መኾኑን እናንተም ወደኛ የማትመለሱ መኾናችሁን ጠረጠራችሁን » ( ለከንቱ የፈጠርናችሁ መሰላችሁን )

did you think that we created you in vain , and that to us you will not be returned ? ”

do you think you will go to paradise while god does not know who among you strive and persist ?
በእውነቱ አላህ ከናንተ እነዚያን የታገሉትን ሳያውቅ ( ሳይለይ ) ታጋሾቹንም ሳያውቅ ገነትን ልትገቡ አሰባችሁን

did you think that we had created you only for play , and that you would never be returned to us '
« የፈጠርናችሁ ለከንቱ መኾኑን እናንተም ወደኛ የማትመለሱ መኾናችሁን ጠረጠራችሁን » ( ለከንቱ የፈጠርናችሁ መሰላችሁን )

did you think that we had created you for a playful purpose and that you were not to return to us ? "
« የፈጠርናችሁ ለከንቱ መኾኑን እናንተም ወደኛ የማትመለሱ መኾናችሁን ጠረጠራችሁን » ( ለከንቱ የፈጠርናችሁ መሰላችሁን )

and that they thought as you think , that allah would not raise anyone :
‹ እነርሱም አላህ አንድንም አይቀሰቅስም ማለትን እንደጠረጠራችሁ ጠረጠሩ ፡ ፡ ›

do you think that the men of the cave and the inscription were one of our wondrous signs ?
የዋሻውና የሰሌዳው ባለቤቶች ከተዓምራቶቻችን ሲሆኑ ግሩም መሆናቸውን አሰብክን

( do you think ) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones ? '
« በሞትንና ዐፈር አጥንቶችም በሆን ጊዜ እኛ በእርግጥ እንመረመራለን ? » ( የሚል ) ፡ ፡

do you think the men of the cave and ar-raqim were so strange among our signs ?
የዋሻውና የሰሌዳው ባለቤቶች ከተዓምራቶቻችን ሲሆኑ ግሩም መሆናቸውን አሰብክን

or , do you think the companions of the cave and the tomb stone were a wonder among our signs ?
የዋሻውና የሰሌዳው ባለቤቶች ከተዓምራቶቻችን ሲሆኑ ግሩም መሆናቸውን አሰብክን

« ወይም እንደምትለው ከሰማይ ቁራጮችን በኛ ላይ እስከምታወድቅ ፤ ወይም አላህንና መላእክትን በግልጽ እስከምታመጣ ፡ ፡
