or are you asking them for some compensation so that they feel burdened with debt ?
በእውነቱ ዋጋን ትጠይቃቸዋለህን ? ስለዚህ እነርሱ ከዕዳ የተከበዱ ናቸውን ?

are you asking them for something ? what allah has given you is the best .
ወይስ ግብርን ትጠይቃቸዋለህን የጌታህም ችሮታ በላጭ ነው ፡ ፡ እርሱም ከሰጪዎች ሁሉ በላጭ ነው ፡ ፡

የአጼ ምኒልክ ኅውልት ግን በምንም ምክንያት እንደማይነካ ነበር የነገረን።

ወይስ ግብርን ትጠይቃቸዋለህን የጌታህም ችሮታ በላጭ ነው ፡ ፡ እርሱም ከሰጪዎች ሁሉ በላጭ ነው ፡ ፡

and in the hours before dawn , they were ( found ) asking ( allah ) for forgiveness ,
በሌሊቱ መጨረሻዎችም እነርሱ ምሕረትን ይለምናሉ ፡ ፡

and allah is not one to chastise them whilst thou art in their midst , nor was allah going to chastise them while they were asking forgiveness .
አላህም አንተ በውስጣቸው እያለህ ( ድንጋይ በማዝነብና ባሳማሚ ቅጣት ) የሚቀጣቸው አይደለም ፡ ፡ አላህም እነሱ ምህረትን የሚለምኑ ሲኾኑ የሚቀጣቸው አይደለም ፡ ፡

man never tires of asking for the good things of life ; but if evil fortune befalls him , he abandons all hope , giving himself up to despair .
ሰው በጎ ነገርን ከመለመን አይሰለችም ፡ ፡ ክፉም ቢያገኘው ወዲያውኑ በጣም ተስፋ ቆራጭ ተበሳጭ ይኾናል ፡ ፡

nothing prevents people from believing when they are given guidance or from asking forgiveness of their lord , but the fact that the fate of the previous peoples should befall them or to have the punishment come upon them face to face .
ሰዎችንም መምሪያ በመጣላቸው ጊዜ ከማመንና ጌታቸውንም ምሕረትን ከመለመን የመጀመሪዎቹ ( ሕዝቦች ) ልማድ ( መጥፋት ) ልትመጣባቸው ወይም ቅጣቱ በያይነቱ ሊመጣባቸው ( መጠባበቅ ) እንጂ ሌላ አልከለከላቸውም ፡ ፡

and what prevented men from accepting faith when guidance came to them , and from asking forgiveness from their lord except that the tradition of the former nations come upon them or that they confront various kinds of punishments ?
ሰዎችንም መምሪያ በመጣላቸው ጊዜ ከማመንና ጌታቸውንም ምሕረትን ከመለመን የመጀመሪዎቹ ( ሕዝቦች ) ልማድ ( መጥፋት ) ልትመጣባቸው ወይም ቅጣቱ በያይነቱ ሊመጣባቸው ( መጠባበቅ ) እንጂ ሌላ አልከለከላቸውም ፡ ፡

and naught preventeth mankind from believing when the guidance hath come unto them , and from asking foregiveness of their lord , but that there may come unto them the dispensation of the ancients , or that the torment may come unto them face to face .
ሰዎችንም መምሪያ በመጣላቸው ጊዜ ከማመንና ጌታቸውንም ምሕረትን ከመለመን የመጀመሪዎቹ ( ሕዝቦች ) ልማድ ( መጥፋት ) ልትመጣባቸው ወይም ቅጣቱ በያይነቱ ሊመጣባቸው ( መጠባበቅ ) እንጂ ሌላ አልከለከላቸውም ፡ ፡

man does not weary of asking for good ( things ) , but if ill touches him , he gives up all hope ( and ) is lost in despair .
