for it is he who heareth and knoweth all things .
እነሆ እርሱ ሰሚው ዐዋቂው ነውና ፡ ፡

ask them , who among them is a guarantor for it ?
በዚህ ማንኛቸው ተያያዥ እንደ ኾነ ጠይቃቸው ፡ ፡

every nation can only live for the time appointed for it .
ማንኛይቱም ሕዝብ ጊዜዋን ምንም አትቀድምም ፡ ፡ ( ከእርሱ ) አይቆዩምም ፡ ፡

even so we make a way for it in the hearts of the culprits .
እንደዚሁ ( ማስተባበልን ) በአመጸኞቹ ልቦች ውስጥ እናገባዋለን ፡ ፡

by no means ! for it would be the fire of hell ! -
ይተው ! እርሷ ( እሳቲቱ ) ለዟ ናት ፡ ፡

and every dwelling that we destroyed , had a known decree for it .
ማንኛይቱንም ከተማ ለእርሷ የተወሰነ መጽሐፍ ( ጊዜያት ) ያላት ኾና እንጂ አላጠፋንም ፡ ፡

for it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of hell-fire :
እርሷ በገሀነም አዘቅት ውስጥ የምትወጣ ዛፍ ናት ፡ ፡

and never did we destroy a township but there was a known decree for it .
ማንኛይቱንም ከተማ ለእርሷ የተወሰነ መጽሐፍ ( ጊዜያት ) ያላት ኾና እንጂ አላጠፋንም ፡ ፡

and seek help in patience and prayer . for it is heavy , except to the humble ,
በመታገስና በሶላትም ተረዱ ፡ ፡ እርሷም ( ሶላት ) በፈሪዎች ላይ እንጅ በሌላው ላይ በእርግጥ ከባድ ናት ፡ ፡

thou askest of them no wage for it ; it is nothing but a reminder unto all beings .
በእርሱም ( በቁርአን ) ላይ ምንም ዋጋ አትጠይቃቸውም ፡ ፡ እርሱ ለዓለማት ግሳጼ እንጂ ሌላ አይደለም ፡ ፡

and most of the people , although you strive [ for it ] , are not believers .
አብዛኛዎቹም ሰዎች ( ለማመናቸው ) ብትጓጓም የሚያምኑ አይደሉም ፡ ፡

( viii ) do not even approach fornication for it is an outrageous act , and an evil way .
ዝሙትንም አትቅረቡ ፡ ፡ እርሱ በእርግጥ መጥፎ ሥራ ነውና ፡ ፡ መንገድነቱም ከፋ !

say : i do not ask you for any reward for it ; nor am i of those who affect :
በላቸው « በእርሱ ላይ ምንም ዋጋ አልጠይቃችሁም ፤ እኔም ከተግደርዳሪዎቹ አይደለሁም ፡ ፡
