and there they abode long time with the disciples.
ከደቀ መዛሙርትም ጋር አያሌ ቀን ተቀመጡ።

to abide therein for a long time ; they shall not find a protector or a helper .
በእርሷ ውስጥ ዘለዓለም ዘውታሪዎች ሲኾኑ ፤ ወዳጅም ረዳትም አያገኙም ፡ ፡

hast thou then seen , if we content them for ( long ) years ,
አየህን ብዙ ዓመታትን ብናጣቅማቸው ፤

after a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
ከብዙ ዘመንም በኋላ የእነዚያ ባሮች ጌታ መጣና ተቆጣጠራቸው።

and to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.
ከብዙ ዘመንም ጀምሮ በጥንቈላ ስላስገረማቸው ያደምጡት ነበር።

we have been providing these men and their fathers with the means of enjoyment for a long time . have they not ever considered that we populated the earth and then caused many of the inhabitants to pass away ?
በእውነት እነዚህንና አባቶቻቸውን በእነሱ ላይ ዕድሜ እስከ ረዘመባቸው ድረስ አጣቀምናቸው ፡ ፡ ( ተታለሉም ) ፡ ፡ እኛ ምድርን ከጫፎችዋ የምናጎላት ኾነን ስንመጣባት አያዩምን እነሱ አሸናፊዎች ናቸውን

thereafter we raised up many a generation and a long time passed . you were then not even present among the people of midian to rehearse our verses to them .
ግን እኛ ( ከእርሱ በኋላ ) የክፍለ ዘመናትን ሰዎች አስገኘን ፡ ፡ በእነሱም ላይ ዕድሜዎች ተራዘሙ ፡ ፡ በመድየንም ሰዎች ውስጥ ተቀማጭ በእነሱ ላይ አንቀጾቻችን የምታነብ አልነበርክም ፡ ፡ ግን እኛ ላኪዎችህ ኾንን ፡ ፡

when jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, wilt thou be made whole?
ኢየሱስ ይህን ሰው ተኝቶ ባየ ጊዜ፥ እስከ አሁን ብዙ ዘመን እንዲሁ እንደ ነበረ አውቆ። ልትድን ትወዳለህን? አለው።

indeed , we have provided for them and their fathers until they lived on for long years . do they not see how we visit the land diminishing it at its edges ?
በእውነት እነዚህንና አባቶቻቸውን በእነሱ ላይ ዕድሜ እስከ ረዘመባቸው ድረስ አጣቀምናቸው ፡ ፡ ( ተታለሉም ) ፡ ፡ እኛ ምድርን ከጫፎችዋ የምናጎላት ኾነን ስንመጣባት አያዩምን እነሱ አሸናፊዎች ናቸውን

and has a long time passed since those promises were fulfilled ? or was it to incur the wrath of your lord that you broke your promise with me ? "
ሙሳም ወደ ሰዎቹ የተቆጣ ያዘነ ኾኖ ተመለሰ ፡ ፡ « ሕዝቦቼ ሆይ ! ጌታችሁ መልካም ተስፋን አልቀጠራችሁምን ቀጠሮው በእናንተ ላይ ረዘመባችሁን » ወይስ በእናንተ ላይ ከጌታችሁ ቅጣት ሊወርድባችሁ ፈለጋችሁና ቀጠሮየን አፈረሳችሁን አላቸው ፡ ፡

if you are in doubt of what we have sent down to you , then ask those who have been reading the book ( for a long time ) before you . the truth has indeed come to you from your lord , so do not be one of those who doubt ,
ወደ አንተም ካወረድነው በመጠራጠር ውስጥ ብትሆን እነዚያን ከአንተ በፊት መጽሐፉን የሚያነቡትን ጠይቅ ፡ ፡ እውነቱ ከጌታህ ዘንድ በእርግጥ መጥቶልሃል ፡ ፡ ከተጠራጣሪዎቹም አትሁን ፡ ፡

( it is ) only a delivering ( of communications ) from allah and his messages ; and whoever disobeys allah and his apostle surely he shall have the fire of hell to abide therein for a long time .
« ከአላህ የኾነ ማድረስን መልክቶቹንም በስተቀር ( አልችልም ) ፡ ፡ አላህንና መልክተኛውንም የሚያምጽ ሰው ለእርሱ የገሀነም እሳት አልለው ፡ ፡ በውስጧ ዘላለም ዘውታሪዎች ሲኾኑ ፡ ፡ »

( it also happened with the earlier messengers that for long they preached and people paid no heed ) until the messengers despaired of their people , and the people also fancied that they had been told lies ( by the messengers ) , then suddenly our help came to the messengers . and when such an occasion comes we rescue whom we will ; as for the guilty , our chastisement cannot be averted from them .
መልክተኞቹም ተስፋ በቆረጡና እነርሱ በእርግጥ የተዋሹ መኾናቸውን በተጠራጠሩ ጊዜ እርዳታችን መጣላቸው ፡ ፡ ( እኛ ) የምንሻውም ሰው እንዲድን ተደረገ ፡ ፡ ቅጣታችንም ከአጋሪዎቹ ሕዝቦች ላይ አይመለስም ፡ ፡
