and the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
ብርሃንም በጨለማ ይበራል፥ ጨለማም አላሸነፈውም።

but he tarried not long , and said , ' i have comprehended that which thou hast not comprehended , and i have come from sheba to thee with a sure tiding .
( ወፉ ) ዕሩቅ ያልኾነንም ጊዜ ቆዬ ፡ ፡ አለም « ያላወቅከውን ነገር አወቅኩ ፡ ፡ ከሰበእም እርግጠኛን ወሬ አመጣሁልህ ፡ ፡

and other [ spoils as well ] which you have not yet captured : allah has comprehended them , and allah has power over all things .
ሌላይቱንም በእርሷ ላይ ገና ያልቻላችኋትን አላህ ያወቃትን ( ለእናንተ አዘጋጃት ) ፡ ፡ አላህም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ቻይ ነው ፡ ፡

aye ! they have belied that of which the knowledge they comprehended not and of which the fulfilment hath not come to them . likewise belied those who were before them ; behold then in what wise hath been the end of the wrongdoers .
ይልቁንም ( ከቁርኣን ) እውቀቱን ባላደረሱት ፍቹም ገና ባልመጣቸው ነገር አስተባበሉ ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁ እነዚያ ከእነሱ በፊት የነበሩት አስተባብለዋል ፡ ፡ የበዳዮችም መጨረሻ እንዴት እንደ ነበረ ተመልከት ፡ ፡

are you then so eager that they should believe you , seeing there is a party of them that heard god 's word , and then tampered with it , and that after they had comprehended it , wittingly ?
( አይሁዶች ) ከነሱ የኾኑ ጭፍሮች የአላህን ቃል የሚሰሙና ከዚያም ከተረዱት በኋላ እነርሱ እያወቁ የሚለውጡት ሲኾኑ ለናንተ ማመናቸውን ትከጅላላችሁን ?
