had we desired to take to us a diversion we would have taken it to us from ourselves , had we done aught .
መጫወቻን ( ሚስትና ልጅን ) ልንይዝ በሻን ኖሮ ከእኛ ዘንድ በያዝነው ነበር ፡ ፡ ( ግን ) ሠሪዎች አይደለንም ፡ ፡

the life of this world is nothing but diversion and play , and the home of the hereafter is the life , if they only knew .
ይህችም የቅርቢቱ ሕይወት መታለያና ጨዋታ እንጂ ሌላ አይደለችም ፡ ፡ የመጨረሻይቱም አገር እርሷ በእርግጥ የዘላለም ሕይወት አገር ናት ፡ ፡ የሚያውቁ ቢኾኑ ኖሮ ፤ ( ጠፊይቱን ሕይወት አይመርጡም ነበር ) ፡ ፡

had we desired to take up some diversion we would have taken it up with ourselves , were we to do [ so ] .
መጫወቻን ( ሚስትና ልጅን ) ልንይዝ በሻን ኖሮ ከእኛ ዘንድ በያዝነው ነበር ፡ ፡ ( ግን ) ሠሪዎች አይደለንም ፡ ፡

and the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion ; but the home of the hereafter is best for those who fear allah , so will you not reason ?
የቅርቢቱም ሕይወት ጨዋታና ላግጣ እንጅ ሌላ አይደለችም ፡ ፡ የመጨረሻይቱም አገር ( ገነት ) ለእነዚያ ለሚጠነቀቁት በጣም በላጭ ናት ፡ ፡ አታውቁምን

had we wished to make a diversion , we would have made it from before ourselves : by no means would we do ( it ) .
መጫወቻን ( ሚስትና ልጅን ) ልንይዝ በሻን ኖሮ ከእኛ ዘንድ በያዝነው ነበር ፡ ፡ ( ግን ) ሠሪዎች አይደለንም ፡ ፡

[ this ] worldly life is only amusement and diversion . and if you believe and fear allah , he will give you your rewards and not ask you for your properties .
ቅርቢቱ ሕይወት ጫወታና ዛዛታ ብቻ ናት ፡ ፡ ብታምኑም ብትጠነቀቁም ምንዳዎቻችሁን ይሰጣችኋል ፡ ፡ ገንዘቦቻችሁንም ( ሁሉ ) አይጠይቃችሁም ፡ ፡

those who took their religion for diversion and play and whom the life of the world had deceived . so today , we will forget them as they forgot the encounter of this day of theirs , and as they used to impugn our signs .
እነዚያ ሃይማኖታቸውን መሳለቂያና መጫወቻ አድርገው የያዙ የቅርቢቱም ሕይወት ያታለለቻቸው ይህንን ቀናቸውን መገናኘትን እንደረሱ በተአምራታችንም ይክዱ እንደነበሩ ዛሬ እንረሳቸዋልን ፡ ፡

and this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement . and indeed , the home of the hereafter - that is the [ eternal ] life , if only they knew .
ይህችም የቅርቢቱ ሕይወት መታለያና ጨዋታ እንጂ ሌላ አይደለችም ፡ ፡ የመጨረሻይቱም አገር እርሷ በእርግጥ የዘላለም ሕይወት አገር ናት ፡ ፡ የሚያውቁ ቢኾኑ ኖሮ ፤ ( ጠፊይቱን ሕይወት አይመርጡም ነበር ) ፡ ፡

had we intended to take a diversion , we could have taken it from [ what is ] with us - if [ indeed ] we were to do so .
መጫወቻን ( ሚስትና ልጅን ) ልንይዝ በሻን ኖሮ ከእኛ ዘንድ በያዝነው ነበር ፡ ፡ ( ግን ) ሠሪዎች አይደለንም ፡ ፡

and leave those who take their religion as amusement and diversion and whom the worldly life has deluded . but remind with the qur 'an , lest a soul be given up to destruction for what it earned ; it will have other than allah no protector and no intercessor .
እነዚያንም ሃይማኖታቸውን ጨዋታና ላግጣ አድርገው የያዙትን ቅርቢቱም ሕይወት ያታለለቻቸውን ተዋቸው ፡ ፡ በእርሱም ( በቁርኣን ) ነፍስ በሠራችው ሥራ እንዳትጠፋ አስታውስ ፡ ፡ ለእርሷ ከአላህ ሌላ ረዳትና አማላጅ የላትም ፡ ፡ በመበዢያም ሁሉ ብትበዥ ከርሷ አይወሰድም ፡ ፡ እነዚህ እነዚያ በሠሩት ሥራ የተጠፉት ናቸው ፡ ፡ ለነሱ ይክዱ በነበሩት ምክንያት ከፈላ ውሃ መጠጥና አሳማሚ ቅጣት አላቸው ፡ ፡
