( እርሱም ) አላቸው « ይሠሩት በነበሩት ነገር ምን ዕውቀት አለኝ ፡ ፡

noah said : " what knowledge do i have about their deeds ?
( እርሱም ) አላቸው « ይሠሩት በነበሩት ነገር ምን ዕውቀት አለኝ ፡ ፡

you have your religion and i have mine . "
« ለእናንተ ሃይማኖታችሁ አልላችሁ ፡ ፡ ለእኔም ሃይማኖቴ አለኝ ፡ ፡

you have your way , and i have my way . ”
« ለእናንተ ሃይማኖታችሁ አልላችሁ ፡ ፡ ለእኔም ሃይማኖቴ አለኝ ፡ ፡

say : ' i do not say to you i have the treasures of allah . nor do i have knowledge of what is beyond the reach of human perception .
« ለእናንተ የአላህ ግምጃ ቤቶች እኔ ዘንድ ናቸው አልልም ፡ ፡ ሩቅንም አላውቅም ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም እኔ መልአክ ነኝ አልልም ፡ ፡ ወደእኔ የሚወርድልኝን እንጅ ሌላን አልከተልም » በላቸው ፡ ፡ « ዕውርና የሚያይ ይስተካከላሉን አታስተነትኑምን » በላቸው ፡ ፡

she said , " my officials , what are your views on this matter ? i will not decide until i have your views .
« እናንተ መማክርቶች ሆይ ! በነገሬ ( የሚበጀውን ) ንገሩኝ ፡ ፡ እስከምትገኙልኝ ድረስ አንድንም ነገር ቆራጭ አይደለሁምና » አለች ፡ ፡

lo ! in thee do i seek refuge ( from the sin ) that i should ask of thee that whereof i have no knowledge . unless thou forgive me and have mercy on me i shall be among the lost .
« ጌታዬ ሆይ ! በእርሱ ለእኔ ዕውቀት የሌለኝን ነገር የምጠይቅህ ከመሆን እኔ ባንተ እጠበቃለሁ ፡ ፡ ለእኔም ባትምረኝና ባታዝንልኝ ከከሳሪዎቹ እሆናለሁ » አለ ፡ ፡

if they belie you , say : ' i have my work , you have your work . you are quit of what i do , and i am quit of what you do '
« ቢያስተባብሉህም ለእኔ ሥራዬ አለኝ ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም ሠራችሁ አላችሁ ፡ ፡ እናንተ ከምሠራው ነገር ንጹሕ ናችሁ ፡ ፡ እኔም ከምትሠሩት ነገር ንጹሕ ነኝ » በላቸው ፡ ፡

if they accuse you of lying , say , “ i have my deeds , and you have your deeds . you are quit of what i do , and i am quit of what you do . ”
« ቢያስተባብሉህም ለእኔ ሥራዬ አለኝ ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም ሠራችሁ አላችሁ ፡ ፡ እናንተ ከምሠራው ነገር ንጹሕ ናችሁ ፡ ፡ እኔም ከምትሠሩት ነገር ንጹሕ ነኝ » በላቸው ፡ ፡

if god brings you back to a party of them , and they ask your permission to go out , say , “ you will not go out with me , ever , nor will you ever fight an enemy with me . you were content to sit back the first time , so sit back with those who stay behind . ”
ከእነሱም ወደ ኾነችው ጭፍራ አላህ ቢመልስህ ( ከአንተ ጋር ) ለመውጣትም ቢያስፈቅዱህ ፡ - « ከኔ ጋር በፍጹም አትወጡም ፡ ፡ ከእኔም ጋር ጠላትን አትዋጉም ፡ ፡ እናንተ በመጀመሪያ ጊዜ መቀመጥን ወዳችኋልና ፡ ፡ ከተቀማጮቹ ጋርም ተቀመጡ » በላቸው ፡ ፡

say , ‘ indeed i have been commanded to worship allah and not to ascribe any partner to him . to him do i summon [ all mankind ] and to him will be my return . ’
እነዚያም መጽሐፉን የሰጠናቸው ወዳንተ በተወረደው ይደሰታሉ ፡ ፡ ከአሕዛብም ከፊሉን የሚክዱ ሰዎች አልሉ ፡ ፡ « እኔ የታዘዝኩት አላህን ብቻ እንድገዛ በእርሱም እንደዳላጋራ ነው ፡ ፡ ወደእርሱ እጠራለሁ ፤ መመለሻዬም ወደእርሱ ነው » በላቸው ፡ ፡

and i do not say to you that i have the treasures of allah and i do not know the unseen , nor do i say that i am an angel , nor do i say about those whom your eyes hold in mean estimation ( that ) allah will never grant them ( any ) good-- allah knows best what is in their souls-- for then most surely i should be of the unjust .
« ለእናንተም እኔ ዘንድ የአላህ ግምጃ ቤቶች አልሉ ሩቅንም ዐውቃለሁ አልላችሁም ፡ ፡ እኔም መልአክ ነኝ አልላችሁም ፡ ፡ ለእነዚያም ዓይኖቻችሁ ለሚያዋርዷቸው አላህ ደግ ነገርን ( እምነትን ) አይሰጣቸውም አልልም ፡ ፡ አላህ በነፍሶቻቸው ውስጥ ያለውን ነገር አዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡ እኔ ያን ጊዜ ከበደለኞች እሆናለሁና » ( አላቸው ) ፡ ፡
