( ከመጣደፍ ) ተከልከል ፡ ፡ ይልቁንም ( ሰዎች ) ፈጣኒቱን ( ዓለም ) ትወዳላችሁ ፡ ፡

and show no favor seeking gain .
ማብዛትንም የምትፈልግ ኾነህ ፤ ( በረከትን ) አትለግስለለ

do not give , thinking to gain greater
ማብዛትንም የምትፈልግ ኾነህ ፤ ( በረከትን ) አትለግስለለ

who will gain from these violent acts?
ከነዚህ አመጾች ማን ያተርፋል?

but godliness with contentment is great gain.
ኑሮዬ ይበቃኛል ለሚለው ግን እግዚአብሔርን መምሰል እጅግ ማትረፊያ ነው፤

and show not favour , seeking wordly gain !
ማብዛትንም የምትፈልግ ኾነህ ፤ ( በረከትን ) አትለግስለለ

do not grant a favour seeking a greater gain ,
ማብዛትንም የምትፈልግ ኾነህ ፤ ( በረከትን ) አትለግስለለ

for to me to live is christ, and to die is gain.
ለእኔ ሕይወት ክርስቶስ፥ ሞትም ጥቅም ነውና።

and that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not .
ይሠሩትም የነበሩት ሕንጻ ምንም አልጠቀማቸውም ፡ ፡

did i make a gain of you by any of them whom i sent unto you?
ወደ እናንተ ከላክኋቸው በአንዱ ስንኳ አታለልኋችሁን?

but what things were gain to me, those i counted loss for christ.
ነገር ግን ለእኔ ረብ የነበረውን ሁሉ ስለ ክርስቶስ እንደ ጉዳት ቈጥሬዋለሁ።

እነዚያ ከጌታቸው በመመራት ላይ ናቸው ፤ እነዚያም እነሱ ፍላጎታቸውን ያገኙ ናቸው ፡ ፡

people pray as earnestly to gain evil as one should to gain virtue . but people are hasty .
ሰው መልካምን ነገር እንደሚለምን ሁሉ ፤ መጥፎንም ነገር ይለምናል ፡ ፡ ሰውም ቸኳላ ነው ፡ ፡

and purchase not a small gain at the cost of allah 's covenant . verily !
በአላህም ቃል ኪዳን ጥቂትን ዋጋ አትግዙ ፡ ፡ የምታውቁ ብትኾኑ አላህ ዘንድ ያለው ምንዳ እርሱ ለእናንተ በላጭ ነውና ፡ ፡

and yet they worship besides god what cannot bring them gain or do them harm . the unbeliever has always been an auxiliary against his lord .
ከአላህም ሌላ የማይጠቅማቸውንና የማይጎዳቸውን ይግገዛሉ ፤ ከሓዲም በጌታው ላይ ( በማመጽ ለሰይጣን ) ረዳት ነው ፡ ፡

he who does what is right does it for his own gain , and he who does evil does so at his own loss , then to your lord you shall all return .
መልካምን የሠራ ሰው ለነፍሱ ነው ፡ ፡ ያከፋም ሰው በእርሷ ላይ ነው ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ወደ ጌታችሁ ትመለሳላችሁ ፡ ፡

let not the deniers of the truth be deluded that they will gain any advantage . surely , they , can never overcome us !
እነዚያም የካዱት ከአላህ ቅጣት ያመለጡ መኾናቸውን አያስቡ ፡ ፡ እነሱ አያቅቱምና ፡ ፡

and what will allah gain by punishing you , if you acknowledge the truth and accept faith ? and allah is most appreciative , all knowing .
ብታመሰግኑና ብታምኑ አላህ እናንተን በመቅጣት ምን ያደርጋል አላህም ወረታን መላሽ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡

" therefore concert your plan , and then assemble in ( serried ) ranks : he wins ( all along ) today who gains the upper hand . "
« ተንኮላችሁንም አጠንክሩ ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ተሰልፋችሁ ኑ ፡ ፡ ዛሬ ያሸነፈም ሰው ምኞቱን አገኘ » ( ተባባሉ ) ፡ ፡
