thus do we recompense the grateful ones .
ከእኛ በኾነ ጸጋ ( አዳንናቸው ) ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁ ያመሰገነን ሰው እንመነዳለን ፡ ፡

even so , we pardoned you that you may be grateful .
ከዚያም ከዚህ በኋላ እናንተ ታመሰግኑ ዘንድ ከናንተ ምሕረት አደረግን ፡ ፡

no , worship allah , and be among the grateful ! ’
ይልቅ አላህን ብቻ ተገዛም ፡ ፡ ከአመስጋኞቹም ኹን ፡ ፡

as a favour from us . that is how we reward the grateful .
ከእኛ በኾነ ጸጋ ( አዳንናቸው ) ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁ ያመሰገነን ሰው እንመነዳለን ፡ ፡

so , you should worship only god , arid be among the grateful .
ይልቅ አላህን ብቻ ተገዛም ፡ ፡ ከአመስጋኞቹም ኹን ፡ ፡

then we forgave you after that so perhaps you would be grateful .
ከዚያም ከዚህ በኋላ እናንተ ታመሰግኑ ዘንድ ከናንተ ምሕረት አደረግን ፡ ፡

indeed we have guided him to the way , be he grateful or ungrateful .
እኛ ወይ አመስጋኝ ወይም ከሓዲ ሲኾን መንገዱን መራነው ፤ ( ገለጽንለት ) ፡ ፡

then we revived you after your death that perhaps you would be grateful .
ከዚያም ታመሰግኑ ዘንድ ከሞታችሁ በኋላ አስነሳናችሁ ፡ ፡

and therein they have advantages and drinks ; will they not then be grateful ?
ለእነርሱም በእርሷ ውስጥ ( ሌሎች ) ጥቅሞች መጠጦችም አሉዋቸው ፡ ፡ ታዲያ አያመሰግኑምን ;

even then we did forgive you ; there was a chance for you to be grateful .
ከዚያም ከዚህ በኋላ እናንተ ታመሰግኑ ዘንድ ከናንተ ምሕረት አደረግን ፡ ፡

and surely your lord is the lord of grace to men , but most of them are not grateful .
ጌታህም በሰዎች ላይ በእርግጥ የችሮታ ባለቤት ነው ፡ ፡ ግን አብዛኛዎቻቸው አያመሰግኑም ፡ ፡

it is he who made the night and day an alternation for him who cares to reflect and be grateful .
እርሱም ያ ( ያመለጠውን ሥራ ) ማስታወስን ለሚፈልግ ወይም ማመስገንን ለሚፈልግ ሰው ሌሊትንና ቀንን ተተካኪ ያደረገ ነው ፡ ፡

and it is he who produced for you hearing and vision and hearts ; little are you grateful .
እርሱም ያ መስሚያዎችንና ማያዎችን ልቦችንም ለእናንተ የፈጠረላችሁ ነው ፡ ፡ ጥቂትን እንጅ አታመሰግኑም ፡ ፡

grateful to him for his favours ; so he chose him and guided him to the path that is straight ,
ለጸጋዎቹ አመስጋኝ ነበር ፤ መረጠው ፡ ፡ ወደ ቀጥተኛውም መንገድ መራው ፡ ፡

[ he was ] grateful for his favors . allah chose him and guided him to a straight path .
ለጸጋዎቹ አመስጋኝ ነበር ፤ መረጠው ፡ ፡ ወደ ቀጥተኛውም መንገድ መራው ፡ ፡

god has made the sea subservient to you so that ships sail on by his command and you seek his favors . perhaps you will be grateful .
አላህ ያ ባሕርን በውስጡ ታንኳዎች በፈቃዱ እንዲንሻለሉበት ከችሮታውም እንድትፈልጉበት እንድታመሰግኑትም ለእናነተ የገራላችሁ ነው ፡ ፡

descendants of those whom we carried [ in the ark ] with noah . indeed , he was a grateful servant .
እናንተ ከኑሕ ጋር ( በመርከቢቱ ) የጫናቸው ዘሮች ሆይ ! ( አላህን ተገዙ ) እርሱ በብዙ አመስጋኝ ባሪያ ነበርና ፡ ፡

his mother carries him in her womb in weakness and debility , weaning him in two years . so he should be grateful to me and his parents .
ሰውንም በወላጆቹ ( በጎ እንዲያደርግ ) በጥብቅ አዘዝነው ፡ ፡ እናቱ ከድካም በላይ በሆነ ድካም አረገዘችው ፡ ፡ ጡት መጣያውም በሁለት ዓመት ውስጥ ነው ፡ ፡ ለእኔም ለወላጆችህም አመስግን በማለት ( አዘዝነው ) ፡ ፡ መመለሻው ወደኔ ነው ፡ ፡

o ye that are sprung from those whom we carried ( in the ark ) with noah ! verily he was a devotee most grateful .
እናንተ ከኑሕ ጋር ( በመርከቢቱ ) የጫናቸው ዘሮች ሆይ ! ( አላህን ተገዙ ) እርሱ በብዙ አመስጋኝ ባሪያ ነበርና ፡ ፡

and when your lord made it known : if you are grateful , i would certainly give to you more , and if you are ungrateful , my chastisement is truly severe .
ጌታችሁም « ብታመሰግኑ በእርግጥ እጨምርላችኋለሁ ብትክዱም ( እቀጣችኋለሁ ) ቅጣቴ በእርግጥ ብርቱ ነውና » በማለት ባስታወቀ ጊዜ ( አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡
