እንደ ታመመም በሰማ ጊዜ ያን ጊዜ በነበረበት ስፍራ ሁለት ቀን ዋለ፤

ለእርሱም እኛ ዘንድ መቅረብ ፤ መልካም መመለሻም በእርግጥ አልለው ፡ ፡

he has a high position with us and an excellent abode .
ለእርሱም እኛ ዘንድ መቅረብ ፤ መልካም መመለሻም በእርግጥ አልለው ፡ ፡

thus gave we power to joseph in the land . he was the owner of it where he pleased .
እንደዚሁም ለዩሱፍ በምድር ላይ ከእርሷ በፈለገው ስፍራ የሚሰፍር ሲሆን አስመቸነው ፡ ፡ በችሮታችን የምንሻውን ሰው እንለያለን ፡ ፡ የበጎ ሠሪዎችንም ዋጋ አናጠፋም ፡ ፡

and when he was fully grown , we gave him judgment and knowledge . even so we recompense the good-doers .
ጥንካሬውንም በደረሰ ጊዜ ጥበብንና ዕውቀትን ሰጠነው ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁም መልካም ሠሪዎችን ሁሉ እንመነዳለን ፡ ፡

accordingly we forgave him that , and he has a near place in our presence and a fair resort .
ለእርሱም እኛ ዘንድ መቅረብ ( ክብር ) መልካም መመለሻም አለው ፡ ፡

indeed he has [ a station of ] nearness with us and a good destination .
ለእርሱም እኛ ዘንድ መቅረብ ፤ መልካም መመለሻም በእርግጥ አልለው ፡ ፡

he knows of every change within the womb . for everything he has a proper measure ;
አላህ ሴት ሁሉ የምታረግዘውን ያውቃል ፡ ፡ ማሕጸኖችም የሚያጎድሉትን የሚጨምሩትንም ( ያውቃል ) ፡ ፡ ነገሩም ሁሉ እርሱ ዘንድ በልክ የተወሰነ ነው ፡ ፤

and he who slays a believer wilfully his reward is hell , where he will abide . allah 's wrath is against him and he has cast his curse upon him , and has prepared for him a great chastisement .
ምእመንንም አስቦ የሚገድል ሰው ቅጣቱ በውስጧ ዘውታሪ ሲኾን ገሀነም ናት ፡ ፡ አላህም በርሱ ላይ ተቆጣ ፡ ፡ ረገመውም ፡ ፡ ለእርሱም ከባድ ቅጣትን አዘጋጀ ፡ ፡

[ the angels say ] , " there is not among us any except that he has a known position .
( ጂብሪል አለ ) ከእኛም አንድም የለም ፤ ለእርሱ የታወቀ ደረጃ ያለው ቢሆን እንጅ ፡ ፡

god will open the hearts of whomever he wants to guide to islam , but he will tighten the chest of one whom he has led astray , as though he was climbing high up into the sky . thus , god places wickedness on those who do not accept the faith .
አላህም ሊመራው የሚሻውን ሰው ደረቱን ( ልቡን ) ለኢስላም ይከፍትለታል ፡ ፡ ሊያጠመውም የሚሻውን ሰው ደረቱን ጠባብ ቸጋራ ወደ ሰማይ ለመውጣት አንደሚታገል ያደርገዋል ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁ አላህ በእነዚያ በማያምኑት ላይ ርክሰትን ያደርጋል ፡ ፡

indeed , he has a father , a very old man ; so take one of us in his place . indeed we see that you are a virtuous man . ’
አንተ የተከበርከው ሆይ ! « ለእርሱ በእርግጥ ታላቅ ሽማግሌ አባት አለው ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ በእርሱ ስፍራ አንደኛችንን ያዝ ፡ ፡ እኛ ከመልካም ሠሪዎች ሆነህ እናይሃለንና » አሉት ፡ ፡

if they are women , above two , they shall have two thirds of what he left , but if she is one , then to her a half . while for his parents , to each one of the two a sixth of what he left , if he has a child .
አላህ በልጆቻችሁ ( ውርስ በሚከተለው ) ያዛችኋል ፡ ፡ ለወንዱ የሁለት ሴቶች ድርሻ ብጤ አለው ፡ ፡ ( ሁለት ወይም ) ከሁለት በላይም የኾኑ ሴቶች ብቻ ቢኾኑ ለእነሱ ( ሟቹ ) ከተወው ረጀት ( ድርሻ ) ከሦስት ሁለት እጁ አላቸው ፡ ፡ አንዲትም ብትኾን ለርሷ ግማሹ አላት ፡ ፡ ለአባትና ለእናቱም ለእርሱ ልጅ እንዳለው ከሁለቱ ለያንዳንዱ ከስድስት አንድ አላቸው ፡ ፡ ለእርሱም ልጅ ባይኖረውና ወላጆቹ ቢወርሱት ለእናቱ ሲሶው አላት ፡ ፡ ለእርሱም ወንድሞችና እኅቶች ቢኖሩት ለናቱ ከስድስት አንድ አላት ፡ ፡ ( ይህም የተባለው ) በርሷ ከተናዘዘባት ኑዛዜ ወይም ከዕዳ በኋላ ነው ፡ ፡ አባቶቻችሁና ልጆቻችሁ ለእናንተ በመጥቀም ማንኛቸው ይበልጥ ቅርብ እንደኾኑ አታውቁም ፡ ፡ ( ይኽም ) ከአላህ የተደነገገ ነው ፤ አላህ ዐዋቂ ጥበበኛ ነውና ፡ ፡

and their leaders went about , “ leave him and cling steadfastly to your gods ! indeed he has a hidden objective in this ! ”
ከእነርሱም መኳንንቶቹ « ሂዱ ፤ በአማልክቶቻችሁም ( መግገዛት ) ላይ ታገሱ ፡ ፡ ይህ ( ከእኛ ) የሚፈለግ ነገር ነውና » እያሉ አዘገሙ ፡ ፡

they said : o chief ! he has a father , a very old man , therefore retain one of us in his stead ; surely we see you to be of the doers of good .
አንተ የተከበርከው ሆይ ! « ለእርሱ በእርግጥ ታላቅ ሽማግሌ አባት አለው ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ በእርሱ ስፍራ አንደኛችንን ያዝ ፡ ፡ እኛ ከመልካም ሠሪዎች ሆነህ እናይሃለንና » አሉት ፡ ፡

if a man perishes having no children , but he has a sister , she shall receive a half of what he leaves , and he is her heir if she has no children . if there be two sisters , they shall receive two-thirds of what he leaves ; if there be brothers and sisters , the male shall receive the portion of two females .
ይጠይቁሃል በላቸው ፡ - « ወላጅና ልጅ ሳይኖረው በሚወረስ ሰው አላህ ይነግራችኋል ፡ ፡ ለእርሱ ልጅ የሌለው ሰው ቢሞት ለእርሱም እኅት ብትኖረው ለእርስዋ ከተወው ረጀት ግማሹ አላት ፡ ፡ እርሱም ለርሷ ልጅ የሌላት እንደኾነች ( በሙሉ ) ይወርሳታል ፡ ፡ ሁለት ( እኅቶች ወይም ከሁለት በላይ ) ቢኾኑም ከተወው ረጀት ከሦስት ሁለት እጁ አላቸው ፡ ፡ ወንድሞች ( ና እኅቶች ) ወንዶችና ሴቶች ቢኾኑም ለወንዱ የሁለት ሴቶች ድርሻ ብጤ አለው ፡ ፡ አላህ እንዳትሳሳቱ ለእናንተ ያብራራል ፡ ፡ አላህም በነገሩ ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡ »

they said , ' mighty prince , he has a father , aged and great with years ; so take one of us in his place ; we see that thou art one of the good-doers . '
አንተ የተከበርከው ሆይ ! « ለእርሱ በእርግጥ ታላቅ ሽማግሌ አባት አለው ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ በእርሱ ስፍራ አንደኛችንን ያዝ ፡ ፡ እኛ ከመልካም ሠሪዎች ሆነህ እናይሃለንና » አሉት ፡ ፡
