( በአደም ነገር ) « በሚከራከሩ ጊዜ በላይኛው ሰራዊት ለእኔ ምንም ዕውቀት አልነበረኝም ፡ ፡

one of them says , ' i had a comrade
ከእነርሱ የሆነ ተናጋሪ ይላል « እኔ ጓደኛ ነበረኝ ፡ ፡

fear him who has bestowed on you what you know ,
« ያንንም በምታውቁት ( ጸጋ ) ያጣቀማችሁን ፍሩ ፡ ፡

and i had not known what my account was :
« ምርመራየንም ምን እንደኾነ ባላወቅኩ ፡ ፡

one of them will say , " i had a friend ,
ከእነርሱ የሆነ ተናጋሪ ይላል « እኔ ጓደኛ ነበረኝ ፡ ፡

said one of the speakers : " i had a friend
ከእነርሱ የሆነ ተናጋሪ ይላል « እኔ ጓደኛ ነበረኝ ፡ ፡

i shall feast on you all for tomorrow as god reveals the sinners as a main course for dinner
ጓደኛ

a curse shall be on you till the day of recompense '
« ባንተ ላይም እስከ ፍርዱ ቀን ድረስ እርግማን አለብህ ፡ ፡ »

" freely has he bestowed on you cattle and sons , -
« በእንስሳዎችና በልጆች ያጣቀማችሁን ፡ ፡

" and that i had never known , how my account is ?
« ምርመራየንም ምን እንደኾነ ባላወቅኩ ፡ ፡

" yea , fear him who has bestowed on you freely all that ye know .
« ያንንም በምታውቁት ( ጸጋ ) ያጣቀማችሁን ፍሩ ፡ ፡

and indeed the curse shall lie on you until the day of retribution . ’
« ባንተ ላይም እስከ ፍርዱ ቀን ድረስ እርግማን አለብህ ፡ ፡ »

a speaker from among them shall say : surely i had a comrade of mine ,
ከእነርሱ የሆነ ተናጋሪ ይላል « እኔ ጓደኛ ነበረኝ ፡ ፡

" and that i had never realised how my account ( stood ) !
« ምርመራየንም ምን እንደኾነ ባላወቅኩ ፡ ፡

" and indeed we conferred a favour on you another time ( before ) .
« በሌላም ጊዜ ባንተ ላይ በእርግጥ ለግሰናል ፡ ፡

" i wish i had the power to resist you , " said ( lot ) , " or powerful support . "
« በእናንተ ላይ ለኔ ኀይል በኖረኝ ወይም ወደ ብርቱ ወገን ብጠጋ ኖሮ ( የምሠራውን በሠራሁ ነበር ) » አላቸው ፡ ፡

' o my servants , today no fear is on you , neither do you sorrow ' --
( ለነርሱስ ) « ባሮቼ ሆይ ! ዛሬ ቀን በእናንተ ላይ ፍርሃት የለባችሁም እናንተም የምታዝኑ አይደላችሁም » ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

( tell them ) : “ i had no knowledge of the high council when they were disputing .
( በአደም ነገር ) « በሚከራከሩ ጊዜ በላይኛው ሰራዊት ለእኔ ምንም ዕውቀት አልነበረኝም ፡ ፡

' and give you increase in wealth and children , and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers . "
« በገንዘቦችና በልጆችም ይለግሰላችኋል ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም አትክልቶችን ያደርግላችኋል ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም ወንዞችን ያደርግላችኋል ፡ ፡ »

he said : peace be on you , i will pray to my lord to forgive you ; surely he is ever affectionate to me :
« ደህና ኹን ፡ ፡ ወደፊት ከጌታዬ ምሕረትን እለምንልሃለሁ ፡ ፡ እርሱ ለኔ በጣም ርኅሩኅ ነውና » አለ ፡ ፡
