if only we could have another chance , we would be among the faithful . ”
ለእኛም አንዲት ጊዜ መመለስ በኖረችንና ከአማኞቹ በኾን እንመኛለን ( ይላሉ ) ፡ ፡

' if only we had a reminder from the ancients ,
« ከቀድሞዎቹ ( መጻሕፍት ) ገሳጭ መጽሐፍ እኛ ዘንድ በነበረን ኖሮ ፤

' if only we had had a reminder from the ancients ,
« ከቀድሞዎቹ ( መጻሕፍት ) ገሳጭ መጽሐፍ እኛ ዘንድ በነበረን ኖሮ ፤

they will say , " if only we could be sent back . then we would not deny the signs of our lord and we would be of the believers . "
በእሳትም ላይ በተቆሙ ጊዜ ምነው ( ወደ ምድረ ዓለም ) በተመለስን በጌታችንም አንቀጾች ባላስተባበልን ከምእምናንም በኾንን ዋ ምኞታችን ! ባሉ ጊዜ ብታይ ኖሮ ( የሚያሰደነግጥን ነገር ባየህ ነበር ) ፡ ፡

" if only we had had before us a message from those of old ,
« ከቀድሞዎቹ ( መጻሕፍት ) ገሳጭ መጽሐፍ እኛ ዘንድ በነበረን ኖሮ ፤

“ if only we had the reminder which had been granted to the people of yore
« ከቀድሞዎቹ ( መጻሕፍት ) ገሳጭ መጽሐፍ እኛ ዘንድ በነበረን ኖሮ ፤

or [ lest ] it say when it sees the punishment , " if only i had another turn so i could be among the doers of good . "
ወይም ቅጣቱን በምታይ ጊዜ « ለእኔ ( ወደ ምድረ ዓለም ) አንድ ጊዜ መመለስ በኖረኝና ከበጎ አድራጊዎቹ በኾንኩ » ማለቷን ( ለመፍራት መልካሙን ተከተሉ ) ፡ ፡

and they will then say : ' if only we had listened and understood we should not now be among the inhabitants of the blaze '
« የምንሰማ ወይም የምናስብ በነበርንም ኖሮ በነዳጅ እሳት ጓዶች ውስጥ ባልኾን ነበር » ይላሉ ፡ ፡

and they will say , " if only we had been listening or reasoning , we would not be among the companions of the blaze . "
« የምንሰማ ወይም የምናስብ በነበርንም ኖሮ በነዳጅ እሳት ጓዶች ውስጥ ባልኾን ነበር » ይላሉ ፡ ፡

and those that followed say , ' o if only we might return again and disown them , as they have disowned us ! ' even so god shall show them their works .
እነዚያም የተከተሉት « ለእኛ ( ወደ ቅርቢቱ ዓለም ) አንዲት ጊዜ መመለስ በኖረችንና ከእኛ እንደተጥራሩ ከእነርሱ በተጥራራን እንመኛለን » ይላሉ ፡ ፡ እንደዚሁ አላህ ሥራዎቻቸውን በነርሱ ላይ ጸጸቶች አድርጎ ያሳያቸዋል ፡ ፡ እነርሱም ከእሳት ወጪዎች አይደሉም ፡ ፡

if only you could see , when they are made to stand before the fire ; they will say , “ if only we could be sent back , and not reject the revelations of our lord , and be among the faithful . ”
በእሳትም ላይ በተቆሙ ጊዜ ምነው ( ወደ ምድረ ዓለም ) በተመለስን በጌታችንም አንቀጾች ባላስተባበልን ከምእምናንም በኾንን ዋ ምኞታችን ! ባሉ ጊዜ ብታይ ኖሮ ( የሚያሰደነግጥን ነገር ባየህ ነበር ) ፡ ፡

those who do not expect to meet us say , “ if only the angels were sent down to us , or we could see our lord . ” they have grown arrogant within themselves , and have become excessively defiant .
እነዚያም መገናኘታችንን የማይፈሩት በእኛ ላይ ለምን መላእክት አልወረደም ፡ ፡ ወይም ጌታችንን ለምን አናይም አሉ ፡ በነፍሶቻቸው ውስጥ በእርግጥ ኮሩ ፡ ፡ ታላቅንም አመጽ አመፁ ፡ ፡

and he went out before his people in his splendor . those who desired the worldly life said , “ if only we possessed the likes of what quaroon was given .
በሕዝቦቹም ላይ በጌጡ ውስጥ ኾኖ ወጣ ፡ ፡ እነዚያ ቅርቢቱን ሕይወት የሚፈልጉት « ወይ ምኞታችን ! ቃሩን የተሰጠው ብጤ ምነው ለእኛ በኖረን ፤ እርሱ የታላቅ ዕድል ባለቤት ነውና » አሉ ፡ ፡

and if you see them when they will be placed above hell , they will say , “ alas , if only we might be sent back and not deny the signs of our lord , and become muslims ! ”
በእሳትም ላይ በተቆሙ ጊዜ ምነው ( ወደ ምድረ ዓለም ) በተመለስን በጌታችንም አንቀጾች ባላስተባበልን ከምእምናንም በኾንን ዋ ምኞታችን ! ባሉ ጊዜ ብታይ ኖሮ ( የሚያሰደነግጥን ነገር ባየህ ነበር ) ፡ ፡

if you could but see when they are made to stand before the fire and will say , " oh , would that we could be returned [ to life on earth ] and not deny the signs of our lord and be among the believers . "

then he went forth before his people in all his pomp . those who were eager for the life of this world said , " if only we had the like of korah 's fortune !
በሕዝቦቹም ላይ በጌጡ ውስጥ ኾኖ ወጣ ፡ ፡ እነዚያ ቅርቢቱን ሕይወት የሚፈልጉት « ወይ ምኞታችን ! ቃሩን የተሰጠው ብጤ ምነው ለእኛ በኖረን ፤ እርሱ የታላቅ ዕድል ባለቤት ነውና » አሉ ፡ ፡

he therefore came before his people in his pomp ; said those who desired the worldly life , “ if only we were to get what qaroon has been given – he is indeed very fortunate . ”
በሕዝቦቹም ላይ በጌጡ ውስጥ ኾኖ ወጣ ፡ ፡ እነዚያ ቅርቢቱን ሕይወት የሚፈልጉት « ወይ ምኞታችን ! ቃሩን የተሰጠው ብጤ ምነው ለእኛ በኖረን ፤ እርሱ የታላቅ ዕድል ባለቤት ነውና » አሉ ፡ ፡

and that he might know the hypocrites ' when it was said to them : ' come , fight or repel in the way of allah ' they replied : ' if only we knew how to fight , we would follow you ' on that day , they were nearer to disbelief than belief . they said with their mouths what was not in their hearts .
እነዚያንም የነፈቁትንና ለነርሱ « ኑ ፤ በአላህ መንገድ ተጋደሉ ፤ ወይም ተከላከሉ ፤ » የተባሉትን ሊገልጽ ነው ፡ ፡ « መዋጋት ( መኖሩን ) ብናውቅ ኖሮ በተከተልናችሁ ነበር » አሉ ፡ ፡ እነርሱ ያን ጊዜ ከእምነት ይልቅ ወደ ክህደት የቀረቡ ናቸው ፡ ፡ በልቦቻቸው የሌለውን በአፎቻቸው ይናገራሉ ፡ ፡ አላህም የሚደብቁትን ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡
