« በእኔም ባታምኑ ራቁኝ » ( ተዉኝ አለ ) ፡ ፡

if ye love me, keep my commandments.
ብትወዱኝ ትእዛዜን ጠብቁ። እኔም አብን እለምናለሁ ለዘላለምም ከእናንተ ጋር እንዲኖር ሌላ አጽናኝ ይሰጣችኋል፤

then bring your book , if ye say sooth .
« እውነተኞች እንደ ሆናችሁ መጽሐፋችሁን አምጡ » ( በላቸው ) ፡ ፡

bring then our fathers if ye say so .
እውነተኞችም እንደ ኾናችሁ አባቶቻችንን አምጡልን ፡ ፡

do ye not force it back , if ye are truthful ?
እውነተኞች እንደ ኾናችሁ ( ነፍሲቱን ወደ አካሉ ) ለምን አትመልሷትም ፡ ፡

and if ye will not believe in me , then let me alone .
« በእኔም ባታምኑ ራቁኝ » ( ተዉኝ አለ ) ፡ ፡

and if ye seize by force , seize ye as tyrants ?
« በቀጣችሁም ጊዜ ጨካኞች ኾናችሁ ትቀጣላችሁን

if ye go not forth he will afflict you with a painful doom , and will choose instead of you a folk other than you . ye cannot harm him at all .
ለዘመቻ ባትወጡ ( አላህ ) አሳማሚን ቅጣት ይቀጣችኋል ፡ ፡ ከእናንተ ሌላ የኾኑንም ሕዝቦች ይለውጣል ፡ ፡ በምንም አትጎዱትምም ፡ ፡ አላህም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ቻይ ነው ፡ ፡

and they say : when cometh this promise , if ye say sooth ?
« እውነተኞችም ከሆናችሁ ይህ ( የቅጣቱ ) ቀጠሮ መቼ ነው » ይላሉ ፡ ፡

" if ye believe me not , at least keep yourselves away from me . "
« በእኔም ባታምኑ ራቁኝ » ( ተዉኝ አለ ) ፡ ፡

and they say : when is this promise to be fulfilled if ye say sooth ?
« እውነተኞችም እንደ ሆናችሁ ይህ ቀጠሮ መቼ ነው ? » ይላሉ ፡ ፡

and if ye would count the favour of allah ye cannot reckon it . lo !
የአላህንም ጸጋ ብትቆጥሩ አትዘልቋትም ፡ ፡ አላህ በእርግጥ መሓሪ አዛኝ ነውና ፡ ፡

" their account is only with my lord , if ye could ( but ) understand .
« ምርመራቸው በጌታዬ ላይ እንጅ በሌላ ላይ አይደለም ፡ ፡ ብታውቁ ኖሮ ( ይህንን ትርረዱ ነበር ) ፡ ፡

and if ye be christ's, then are ye abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
እናንተም የክርስቶስ ከሆናችሁ እንኪያስ የአብርሃም ዘር እንደ ተስፋውም ቃል ወራሾች ናችሁ።

" and by allah , i have a plan for your idols - after ye go away and turn your backs " ..
« በአላህም እምላለሁ ዟሪዎች ኾናችሁ ከሄዳችሁ በኋላ ጣዖቶቻችሁን ተንኮል እሠራባቸዋለሁ » ( አለ ) ፡ ፡

" go ye to your tilth ( betimes ) in the morning , if ye would gather the fruits . "
« ቆራጮች እንደ ኾናችሁ በእርሻቸሁ ላይ ማልዱ » በማለት ፡ ፡
