« በሰላም ግቧት ይህ የመዘውተሪያ ቀን ነው » ( ይባላሉ ) ፡ ፡

for this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
ይህ የሚበሰብሰው የማይበሰብሰውን ሊለብስ ይህም የሚሞተው የማይሞተውን ሊለብስ ይገባዋልና።

to them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
በበጎ ሥራ በመጽናት ምስጋናንና ክብርን የማይጠፋንም ሕይወት ለሚፈልጉ የዘላለምን ሕይወት ይሰጣቸዋል፤

we appointed immortality for no mortal before thee . what ! if thou diest , can they be immortal !
( ሙሐመድ ሆይ ! ) ካንተ በፊት ለማንም ሰው ዘለዓለም መኖርን አላደረግንም ፡ ፡ ታዲያ ብትሞት እነሱ ዘውታሪዎች ናቸውን

we did not give immortality to any human before you . if you are fated to die , will they live on forever ?
( ሙሐመድ ሆይ ! ) ካንተ በፊት ለማንም ሰው ዘለዓለም መኖርን አላደረግንም ፡ ፡ ታዲያ ብትሞት እነሱ ዘውታሪዎች ናቸውን

and we appointed not for any human being before thee immortality ; if thou then diest , are they to be immortals ?
( ሙሐመድ ሆይ ! ) ካንተ በፊት ለማንም ሰው ዘለዓለም መኖርን አላደረግንም ፡ ፡ ታዲያ ብትሞት እነሱ ዘውታሪዎች ናቸውን

he said , ‘ o adam ! shall i show you the tree of immortality , and an imperishable kingdom ? ’
ሰይጣንም ወደርሱ ጎተጎተ « አደም ሆይ ! በመዘውተሪያ ዛፍ በማይጠፋ ንግሥናም ላይ ላመላክትህን አለው ፡ ፡

but the devil whispered to him , saying : o adam ! shall i show thee the tree of immortality and power that wasteth not away ?
ሰይጣንም ወደርሱ ጎተጎተ « አደም ሆይ ! በመዘውተሪያ ዛፍ በማይጠፋ ንግሥናም ላይ ላመላክትህን አለው ፡ ፡

and we granted not to any human being immortality before you ( o muhammad saw ) , then if you die , would they live forever ?
( ሙሐመድ ሆይ ! ) ካንተ በፊት ለማንም ሰው ዘለዓለም መኖርን አላደረግንም ፡ ፡ ታዲያ ብትሞት እነሱ ዘውታሪዎች ናቸውን

so the devil incited him , saying , “ o adam , shall i show you the tree of immortality and a kingdom that does not erode ? ”
ሰይጣንም ወደርሱ ጎተጎተ « አደም ሆይ ! በመዘውተሪያ ዛፍ በማይጠፋ ንግሥናም ላይ ላመላክትህን አለው ፡ ፡

but satan whispered evil to him , saying , " adam , shall i lead you to the tree of immortality and to a kingdom that never declines ? "
ሰይጣንም ወደርሱ ጎተጎተ « አደም ሆይ ! በመዘውተሪያ ዛፍ በማይጠፋ ንግሥናም ላይ ላመላክትህን አለው ፡ ፡

say , " which is better , this or the paradise of immortality which the righteous have been promised ? it is their recompense and their destination . "
( እንዲህ ) በላቸው « ይህ የተሻለ ነውን ወይስ ጥንቁቆቹ ተስፋ የተሰጧት የዘለዓለሟ ገነት » ለእነርሱ ምንዳና መመለሻ ኾነች ፡ ፡

but then satan tempted him by saying : " o adam , should i show you the tree of immortality , and a kingdom that will never know any wane ? "
ሰይጣንም ወደርሱ ጎተጎተ « አደም ሆይ ! በመዘውተሪያ ዛፍ በማይጠፋ ንግሥናም ላይ ላመላክትህን አለው ፡ ፡

say : is that ( doom ) better or the garden of immortality which is promised unto those who ward off ( evil ) ? it will be their reward and journey 's end .
( እንዲህ ) በላቸው « ይህ የተሻለ ነውን ወይስ ጥንቁቆቹ ተስፋ የተሰጧት የዘለዓለሟ ገነት » ለእነርሱ ምንዳና መመለሻ ኾነች ፡ ፡
