በመጽሐፉ ኢስማዒልንም አውሳ ፡ ፡ እርሱ ቀጠሮን አክባሪ ነበረና ፡ ፡ መልክተኛ ነቢይም ነበር ፡ ፡

ኢስማዒልንም ፣ አልየስዕንም ፣ ዩኑስንም ፣ ሉጥንም ( መራን ) ፡ ፡ ሁሉንም በዓለማት ላይ አበለጥናቸውም ፡ ፡

and ishmael , and elijah , and jonah , and lot — we favored each one of them over all other people .
ኢስማዒልንም ፣ አልየስዕንም ፣ ዩኑስንም ፣ ሉጥንም ( መራን ) ፡ ፡ ሁሉንም በዓለማት ላይ አበለጥናቸውም ፡ ፡

all praise be to allah who , despite my old age , has given me ishmael and isaac . surely my lord hears all prayers .
« ለእዚያ ከሽምግልና በኋላ ኢስማዒልን ኢስሐቅንም ለእኔ ለሰጠኝ አላህ ምሰጋና ይገባው ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ልመናን በእርግጥ ሰሚ ነውና ፡ ፡

and ( we bestowed the same favour ) upon ishmael , idris and dhu al-kifl , for they were all steadfast .
ኢስማዒልንም ኢድሪስንም ዙልኪፍልንም ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ ሁሉም ከታጋሾቹ ናቸው ፡ ፡

all praise belongs to allah , who gave me ishmael and isaac despite [ my ] old age . indeed my lord hears all supplications .
« ለእዚያ ከሽምግልና በኋላ ኢስማዒልን ኢስሐቅንም ለእኔ ለሰጠኝ አላህ ምሰጋና ይገባው ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ልመናን በእርግጥ ሰሚ ነውና ፡ ፡

and ishmael and elisha and jonah and lot . each one ( of them ) did we prefer above ( our ) creatures ,
ኢስማዒልንም ፣ አልየስዕንም ፣ ዩኑስንም ፣ ሉጥንም ( መራን ) ፡ ፡ ሁሉንም በዓለማት ላይ አበለጥናቸውም ፡ ፡

adopt the place where abraham stood as a place for prayer . we advised abraham and ishmael to keep my house clean for the pilgrims , the worshippers and for those who bow down and prostrate themselves in worship .
ቤቱንም ለሰዎች መመለሻና ጸጥተኛ ባደረግን ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ ከኢብራሂምም መቆሚያ መስገጃን አድርጉ ፡ ፡ ወደ ኢብራሂምና ወደ ኢስማዒልም ቤቴን ለዘዋሪዎቹና ለተቀማጮቹም ለአጎንባሾች ሰጋጆቹም አጥሩ ስንል ቃል ኪዳን ያዝን ፡ ፡

do you claim that abraham and ishmael and isaac and jacob and their descendants were all jews or christians ? " say , " do you know better or does god ?
ወይም ኢብራሂም ኢስማዒልም ኢስሐቅም ያዕቁብም ነገዶቹም አይሁዶች ወይም ክርስቲያኖች ነበሩ ትላላችሁን ? « እናንተ ታውቃላችሁን ? ወይንስ አላህ ? » በላቸው ፡ ፡ እርሱም ዘንድ ከአላህ የኾነችን ምስክርነት ከደበቀ ሰው ይበልጥ በዳይ ማነው ? አላህም ከምትሠሩት ሁሉ ዘንጊ አይደለም ፡ ፡

and make mention in the scripture of ishmael . lo ! he was a keeper of his promise , and he was a messenger ( of allah ) , a prophet .
በመጽሐፉ ኢስማዒልንም አውሳ ፡ ፡ እርሱ ቀጠሮን አክባሪ ነበረና ፡ ፡ መልክተኛ ነቢይም ነበር ፡ ፡

" all the praises and thanks be to allah , who has given me in old age isma 'il ( ishmael ) and ishaque ( isaac ) . verily !
« ለእዚያ ከሽምግልና በኋላ ኢስማዒልን ኢስሐቅንም ለእኔ ለሰጠኝ አላህ ምሰጋና ይገባው ፡ ፡ ጌታዬ ልመናን በእርግጥ ሰሚ ነውና ፡ ፡
